My motorola was given o my by a friend, it always hangs show white screen, the off red button doesnt work if you want to switch off the phone, the master reset needs a 4 number codes which the previous owner doesnt know, i just wanted to try the hard reset bt they look for codes SOS my emails adds firstname.lastname@example.org

to do a master reset blind press the red button a few times to make sure you are at the home screen. now press the center button once, press 8 then 5 press up twice then the center button once now enter your 6 digit security code and then press the center button twice. that should do a master reset on your phone. If that doesn't work then your screen is destroyed. If you don't want to spent money on a new phone you can always use the voice dialing button on the right side of the phone located right under the charging terminal. press it once then give a command (EX. "Call Joe smith") the phone should confirm the command, then say yes or no
I don't know but mine's doing the exact same thing. Mine also keeps the screen on almost all the time, sometimes it turns itself on and back off and back on for hours. Once every button EXCEPT the red button worked... and once only the top left button worked, so i could answer calls but couldn't hang up. My friends enjoyed messing with me for that one.
