Blue Screen and TV shuts off (by 3 users)

Intermitently, TV screen turns blue, then TV shuts off. Also, screen starting to go red now too. I've been told there could be a "short" that needs to be repaired on blue tube and other tubes...not sure I'm phrasing this correctly.Does this sound right? Is the TV worth fixing or should I just get a new one? TV is model Sony KP-57HW40 and is about 5 yrs old.

SAME SITUATION HERE...HAVE TV BY SONY MODEL KP51WS500 FOR 5 YEARS SCREEN TURNS BLUE AND IMMEDIATELY TURNS OFF...OTHER TIMES JUST STAYS ON ...IS THIS TV WORTH REPAIRING?

id replace the set it will be expenxive to fix and at least with a new one you wont have added expense and alot of guesswork
