My washing machine Hoover nextra 6 has stopped working I was in middle of wash and saw that I had a peice of clothing jammed out of the door and it was leaking water so I turned it off waited for when I could open door once allowed to open door I put clothing in machine and tried to start wash but it will not go the start light is just flashing on and off even when I turn off by wall it won't reset

sounds like the door lock mechanism. if this cannot signal it has engaged, to the board, no other function will work (you don't want the washer going with the door open, trust me :) )
Hi Thanks for using FixYa. The start and pre-wash usually flash due to a clogged
drain hose or the water pump. You’ll need to drain the water out of the
base and also check to see if there's something
stuck inside the pump or the drain hose connected to the pump (pump is usually
located at the bottom and towards the back of the washing machine). If the
drain line isn't clogged, you may have a problem with the water pump such as a
frozen pulley or a broken impeller. If that's the case replace the water pump. Please
do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further

I had a problem and when they took the back off. Underwire bra had got jammed through drum holes which stopped it spinning and water issues. I hope this might help.
