Cannot connect to Internet. Orange light keeps blinking

The orange blinking light indicates that it cannot obtain the DNS server from your ISP (internet service provider). You must contact your ISP and check whether your service is active.

Unable to connect to internet

If this is a DSL modem, then a filter should NOT be between it and the wall socket. Filters should only be on house phones and fax equipment lines.

Flashing Orange Light

Usually it means the connection is dropping. Contact your ISP and have them run a test on your line. In addition (and they'll ask you to do this anyway), replace the microfilter and the cable that goes from your router to the microfilter, to help rule out faulty hardware.

Buffalo airstatio whr-hp-g54 router unable to connect to Orange speedtouch

I think the speedtouch modem do you have is a usb modem connection. The best solution is to call your ISP provider and request that you need to replace the usb speedtouch modem to LAN or RG45 connection. But the only problem you encounter if the internet you applied is personal only sometime they cannot provide the LAN connection to personal connection (like globe ISP).

My sim card provider say's they don't support this phone

Dear Tuppayong,

You need to do the following:

First of all setup an MMS connection for the MMS Service to use, by doing the following -
1) Go to START > SETTINGS > CONNECTIONS > CONNECTIONS
2) Go to the ADVANCED tab then press SELECT NETWORKS
3) Your 6515 will be set to MY ISP as the top option
4) Press NEW to setup a new connection.
5) Call the new connection ORANGE MMS and click OK
6) Press EDIT to go back into the ORANGE MMS settings
7) Go to the MODEM tab and press NEW to setup a new modem
8) Name the modem connection ORANGE MMS and select CELLULAR LINE (GPRS)as the modem
9) Click NEXT
10) Put ORANGEMMS into the access point name then press NEXT
11) Put Orange as the username (with the capital 'O' and lowercase 'range' as written)
12) Put Multimedia as the password (with the capital 'M' and lowercase 'ultimedia' as written)
13) Click FINISH then press OK
14) Set your top option (presently should be ORANGE MMS) back to MY ISP and then press OK.
15) Close your connections screens

Secondly you need to configure the MMS settings in Messaging -
1) Go to MESSAGING
2) Go to TOOLS > MMS SETTINGS
3) Change "Connect Via:" to ORANGE MMS (the connection you setup above)
4) Go to the SERVERS tab
5) Press NEW to setup a new MMS server,
6) Next enter the following details -
Server Name: orangemms
Gateway: 192.168.224.10
Port number: 9201
Sever address: http://mms.orange.co.uk/
(make a note of the port number, it is NOT 8080 as shown on other sites !!)
7) Press OK then set the new ORANGEMMS settings to be default
8) Press OK again to close the MMS settings

You should now be ready to send and receive MMS messages. Note that MMS will dial over GPRS to connect automatically, but sometimes will NOT hang up automatically. Also MMS messages take an age to send and receive, so be patient, but obviously over 5 mins is too long ;)

unable to establish the WAN connection to your PDA? or via the ethernet cable to your desktop pc?
It would depend on the security settings you chose, whether or not you need to enter a wifi key, add the mac address etc. Your ISP should be able to troubleshot you through it aswell.

Router orange button

on the back of the unit is a reset button
Hold that down for 30 sec
that will completely reset the router back to factory defaults
turn the unit off for 15 min while the ISP's connection resets.
Then power back up.
you should be able to reach 192.168.1.1 via the browser thru the wired connection.
Then setup the system again.
the only problem is if your MAC was cloned by the ISP and that is the only connection they will let back on.
If that is the issue, please respond back

Orange broadband

PPP should be refering to PPPOE (or point to point protocal over ethernet). PPPOE is the method that a DSL modem logs into an ISP. So essentially their log in server is down, and since your modem is unable to connect to their login server you cannot get online. This sounds like a problem entirely on their end, and unfortunately you're pretty much at their mercy in regards to when it gets fixed. My only suggestions other than just waiting it out is look into another ISP or purchase a wireless card and a large antenna and see if you can pick up an open network close to your location. The later option is entirely based on you lucking out and picking up a connection close by though, it's possible nobody near you is sharing an open wireless connection. Peter
