Our Kenmore elite HE3 model 11044921 stops between cycles and flashes an F and then flashes a H continuously. have to cancel and run rinse/drain cycle

i had the same problem and this part is in the door part on the controll panel you can take it apart with the 6 screws i think on the door...

First, verify you are using the CORRECT laundry detergent. If you are, make sure you are using the correct amount (some of these detergents are double (2X) and triple (3X) concentrated.

Next, you may have an obstruction in the drain pump that is restricting water flow. Too much air detected in the draiange system can generate the error code. There is a follow-on link included that explains how to check the pump.

YOu more than likely have suds in your washer, or an extremely unbalanced load. push the pause cancel button twice, that should unlock the washer. open the washer, and look inside. Is there a lot of suds, or towels that are tangled up? If so, add some fabric softener to the wash tub and do a rinse drain spin (for suds) for the extremely unbalanced load, take the towels (or what ever load you are doing) and put about 1/2 of them in. I have the same washer and have experienced this "problem" once or twice in 7 years. And those were the two culprits. Hope that helps

An HF Code is a Water Inlet Problem- No or Insufficient Water Supply.

Press Pause/Cancel twice to cancel the cycle. Then, unplug the washer.

Run down the list again:
Make sure faucets are completely turned on.
Make sure the fill vavles (screens where water enter machine) aren't clogged.
Make sure the hoses aren't kinked, etc.

Plug the machine back in. Try another cycle. If the problem still occurs, You may need to replace your Water Fill Valve. Let me know if you need any further assistance.

F2 = Long Drain. Most common cause is something (or lots of things) stuck in the drain pump. There are screws at the bottom of the front panel that can be removed to check it out. If the screws look like stars they are Torx head screws, get driver from most home centers.

sounds as if you have a drain issue, most common cause of fault is theres something stuck in the pump housing. remove the lower acess panel(3 screws along the bottom of the forn of unit) youll gain acess to the pump housing, remove the large cover to the "button trap" by uncscrewimg the cover, it will be righthin front of you in the center of machine when cover removed, im sure youll find your blockage within there
