What is the main problem? Does the keyboard work at all, or is it just certain keys that are broken?

Firstly, make sure that it is properly plugged in to your computer. Do the lights come on when you press 'caps lock' 'scroll lock' and 'num lock'?

Get back to me and I will proceed to help you further.

Some keys on keyboard not working on my acer aspire 5253-B2692

Im going to assume you didn't spill anything on the keyboard here...The best solution for you is to take the keyboard out and reseat the ribbon cable that holds it in place. Sometimes those cables get just a little bit loose, but a little can cause a lot of trouble as you can see. Let's see how much "notepad" or some other writing program you have....type every single letter and number and see which ones you are missing. Let me know if there are any others that don't work....then we'll go through the process of taking the keyboard out and reseating it.

Im having trouble figuring out how to use the fn key on my keyboard

Just like a shift key selects the upper case character for a key, the fn key selects whatever is printed on the other keys in the same color used for the letters "fn." You would hold down the fn key, then press the key labeled with the desired secondary function, and let go of both keys.

Im trying to reinstall a replacement keyboard on my Acer Aspire 5610z laptop. I think the part Im having trouble with is the electronic piece that ??slides?? back into the slot? Any help would be greatly...

Good day sir. Hi, the port that receives the keyboard is the PS2 slot, if this slot gets damage, you have no choice but to replace that slot, and electronics inside, which mean replacement of the board, You still has an option to use the USB port, you can get a Keyboard with USB interface.

The keys of my laptop are getting crazy!

Hi there.
There is a possibility that the keyboard is degrading and may need replacing which is not un-common, or the keys maybe sticking due to hair, biscuit crumbs, dust etc which is lodged under the keys.
The best way to check is to turn the laptop off, turn it on its side with the lid open, get a soft, clean paintbrush and clean the keys gently tapping on the keyboard to knock out the foreign objects.
If you still suffer the same symptoms then it will be the keyboard that needs to be replaced.
If you still have warranty, take advantage of that and send it to be repaired for free.

Good luck and thanks for using FixYa!!

You can reinstall the keyboard drivers and try it again.
Otherwise you need to setup the program which you are using with correct keys.
