Casio CTK520L won't turn on

Hi there,

My jurassic Casio CTK520L electronic keyboard won't turn on when it fell on the floor. I opened it and everything's intact, and also tried turning it on with batteries, thinking maybe the adapter isn't working but still didn't work. Help!!!

SOURCE: My casio keyboards ac adapter does not power up

Try this out- check for a blown fuse. If you have never done this before, here is a simpler step by step procedure-
1. If you have the tools and little bit of adventurous spirit, I would suggest you open the keyboard and check for a fuse (a small glass tube with a metal wire running through it).
2. Pull it out and look at it against a light source (like a window) check if the wire if cut (that means the fuse is blown).
3. If it is not blown, put it back, if is blown find a shop that sells it- an electronic spare part shop that stocks stuff for TV, and computer spare will have it). Get a new one and put it in.
4. Try plugging the adapter again.

Best of luck...

Do you have dead batteries, remove and use the adaptor only - try again.

Casiotone CT310 electronic organ, need a maual, tried lots of site and have been unsuccessful any suggestions? Regards Marg

I too have checked the net for a manual for your Casio Organ. I checked the Casio website, they offer some of the manuals on their website. However your model was not on their list.

Click here to send a request for the manual from Casio. Send them an e-mail they will be able to either show you where it is for download or they will send a copy to your home via post.

Take care!

1 year old grandson slammed his hand onto the number keys (right hand side), battery fell out, put it back in and shut it down, restarted it but now it won't let me type anything.

It looks like it was really hard on the keyboard. The PCB tracks are likely to be broken or the ribbon cable below the keyboard has come off its socket.

Sustain pedal doesn't work any more - maybe it isn't the fault of the pedal? I don't want to order a new one if the problem is in the keyboard. I'm sorry, I just lent it to summer guests...

take it into a music store and try a pedal there in store. If it works, buy the new pedal and charge the guests. If it does not work, you know it's th TS input on the keyboard

My casio keyboards ac adapter does not power up the keyboard. I bought a new adapter and its still dead. I put batteries in it and it works. What could be the problem that the adapter would not work?

Keys on Casio keyboard pulled up

I have a Casio CT-648, which looks like a smaller version of yours. I had the same problem, and got brave and opened it up. I took off the back, which takes several screws. Once it was opened up, I saw the keyboard was fastened to the frame in sections of keys. I unscrewed the section with the raised key (I believe it was 5 screws), slid the key section toward the front of the keyboard, and was able to get the slides to re-engage with the tab below it. I now have a smooth keyboard.
