Question about Polaroid I533P Digital Camera

1 Answer

It Turns On Then It Turns Right Back Off

I have the same exact problem with my Polaroid Digital Camera Series i533. The green light flashes the start-up picture will come on (occasionally), then it will shut right back off. I have also changed the batteries several times. I have even charged them. Nothing will work. My user guide doesn't help at all. What is the solution? I need help!

I put Rechargable Duracell Batteries in and now it takes pictures and turns on without a blank screen or shutting back off.

There are a couple of possibilities here:

i'm assuming that this camera uses a SD memory card. You have most likely bought yourself an SDHC card. The cards will look exactly the same, except for their name. SD cards only go up to 2GB, while SDHC's go much higher....sometimes the SDHC card will cause camera's to do this because it is not supported.

the other possibility is that you have a defective battery and it doesn't hold a charge. You could test this with a digital multi meter.

the last possibility is that there in internal damage/falty wiring

hope this helps,
Thomas

Unfortunately your camera needs to be sent in for service. I have had to send in a camera for service to kodak make sure you stay on their tale and don't take any guff from them. Make sure they have all the information right. If this is not the answer you are looking for please disregard but this is most surely the only solution.
Good luck,
