Hi,

You have more than likely connected a COMPOSITE cable (red/white/yellow RCA type) to the COMPONENT video input sockets on the back of the TV.

COMPONENT requires 3 RCA type video cables, COMPOSITE only uses one (the yellow plug). If you connect only one video cable to any of the three component inputs you will get a black and white picture although you will still have audio if the red and white cables are correctly connected.

If you are using a COMPOSITE cable (red/white/yellow RCA type), please check the connections on the rear of the TV and make sure you have not connected to a socket marked "COMPONENT", "Pr" "Pb" or "Y". If you are certain the cable is correctly connected, please try another cable.

If you have verified that you are using the correct sockets on the TV and it still doesn't work or if you are using any other type of cable, please let me know which cable you are using and the model number of the TV. I will then be able to assist you further.

Regards,
BElectric

Samsung LN-S2341W Picture Is Black and White

color circuit is out, try banging the set on the frame with the palm of your hand to see if color comes on or fluctuates, if so you have a loose component which is only fixable by you if you are really knowledgeable about the inside of a TV

N64 No Picture on Vizio TV

Well it sounds like a coincidence then. Or if it's working on one tv and not another tv then you need to try a new av cable to see if it makes a difference.

N64 colors do not work when hooked up to Vizio TV.

You probably have the RCAs in the component video hookups. Its easy to confuse them as they are similar ports. They are usually red, blue, and green. Look for the yellow, white, and red hookups. Those are for RCA connections as they don't work in the component hookups for HD video. i.e. blue-ray, PS3 That will cause the video to look grey and grainy.

I plugged it up and it wont play. well my dad had them working and they sounded real great but we unplugged them and hooked them up in my truck and theres no sound.

Are you sure you have a good ground and that the wires have not been crossed to change the polarity. Check all connections for color codes on speakers and wires as in black , black/white -yellow/white/black or corresponding red - black + / -

Nintendo 64 to jvc hdtv

Check all of your plugs, make sure they are clean. Make sure the game that you have inside the system is clean and free of dust as well as the game connector port on the system. Make sure you are on your A/V channel. If all else fails, you ma have to gt a new A/V plug. When I got my Nintendo 64, I tried to plug it in to my TV using the plug that came with it, but it did not work. I soon found that the Playstation 2 A/V cable that I have also has two additional cables to it, and one of them works in the N64 system. So, I tried to play the system with that cable plugged in, and it worked, so I would suggest buying a new A/V cable that works in the N64 system.

Hope this helps!!!!!
