YOU CAN EASILY CHECK THE PUMP BY PUTTING THE DIAL ON TO DRAIN AND PUT THE OUTPUT HOSE INTO A BASIN MAKE SURE YOU PUT THE BASIN ON TOP OF THE MACHINE.ALSO CHECK THE WIRES TO THE PUMP. MY ADVICE FOR THE NEXT PROBLEM I WOULD MAKE SURE THAT THE OUTPUT HOSE IS INSTALL PROPERLY

Water still in the drum, and have cleaned out the filter

put the washer in drain/spin cycle and check to see if pump tries to come on. put hand on top of pump to feel for vibrations. If pump comes on but doesn't pump out you either have a bad pump or a blockage some where.

Where do I find the filter on my Hotpoint Aquarius WM22? Or does it not have one?

Both the Hotpoint WD63 (wash dryer) and the Hotpoint WM22 (washing machine) have a drain filter in the sump hose at the bottom of the tank.

This filter is a last line protection for the pump and is not designed to be cleaned on regular intervals by the user.

How do you service the pump on the WD63?

Remove rear cover of washer, locate and remove large black hose from drum to check and clean filter inside.
The pumps themselves are not a serviceable item, so if faulty, replace it.

The water is not draining away. Hotpoint WD63

filter is located at the bottom rear of the appliance... if its pump obstruction then to lay the drain hose into a bowl is a means of getting the water out manually.. if its a blockage and water wont drain this way then lay the unit down on its R/H side (not soap dispenser side)....then acces to the filter can be made without flooding the place..best if 2 persons were to do this as the machine can be heavy when full with water and clothes.. best of luck..

I have a Hotpoint Aquarius 1100 washer dryer and think the filter might be blocked but I cannot locate the filter to check it. Any ideas?

Remove the lower rear panel of washer.
Locate and remove the large black hose fastened to bottom of drum.
Remove and clean the plasic filter inside hose..
Also check the pump for a blockage as well.
Thisn should solve your problem.

Hotpoint WD63 not spinning correctly

Two things to check.
Remove rear cover.
Remove large black hose onto drum
Remove and clean filter inside hose.

Next--remove top cover and check the brushes in the motor, if they are less than 3 or 4 mm long, then replace them.

Thanks.

  1. Balance the load
  2. Level the machine
  3. Inspect the water pump for a blockage
  4. Inspect the coupling
  5. Inspect the transmission
  6. Adjust the drive belt tension
  7. Check the motor bearings
  8. Check the drum brakes

I WOULD HAVE THE PRESSURE SWITCH CHANGED OR CHECK THE SMALL TUBE GOING FROM THE PRESSURE SWITCH TO THE DRUM AS IT MAY BE CHOKE WITH WASHING POWER AT THE DRUM
