If you can get the menu to come up, that proves the system circuitry is working, and problem is in cc circuitry which allows you to see what photo's you want to take and perform the function. If the screen remains blank it is the system board that is the issue, either way it is more cost effective to buy new than to repair.

Can the LED screen be replaced?

This LCD screen has been hit by a hard object, that is why there is a black spot. You need the screen to be replaced, a digital camera repairer can fix the camera for you.

When I turn on my camera I get a black screen

The camera is either set to a power save mode or the screen has failed.

Check your user guide for power save settings, if you don't have one, you should be able to download one from here:-

There is something wrong with my flash screen. It's Black. Everytime I try to take pictures on My Finepix z fujifil blue digital camera the screen goes black, and when I go to see what I took a picture...

Flash screen? What? You mean even in pictures with flash disabled (and the flash does drag down the electronics in the thing; make a replacement using an LED lamp and circuit if you have a chance) it takes no picture and leaves you with a black LCD? Are you indeed using a good battery (they go bad gradually (depending on the case on how many times you fire the flash!)) New battery first!

My camera screen is half covered in white. I have a panasonic Lumix DMC FP7

Hi, The white would be caused by dead pixels, sometimes it can be fixed, if you still have warranty on it (if you don't know if you do I can try and help you with that) I'd suggest sending it in to Panasonic. If you don't have warranty left I'd honestly suggest a new camera since fixing that can get expensive.

Nikon Coolpix L3

Nikon Technical Support Team on the web site should need to know about this. Check if in fact the images do show but only dimly if you look carefully along the screen if you can this would suggest the back light has failed. But if you can see menu item but no play back#then this suggests another type of firmware failure

Black screen

I have the same problem. Fine one day and a black screen the next. I called Vivtar and they were no help. They wanted me to send it in and let them repair it at my expense. don't think so. everything works perfect on the camera...but the screen is black and so are the pictures. Good Luck!
