Sometimes the error refers to where the drain pipe connects to the waste under the sink. It gets a build up of gunk over a few years. Just unscrew it and use a chopstick to see if it is blocked. Worked for me
Hi dear.If the checked lights comes on after the main wash & then flashes(when on main wash cycle,if the main pump works for a few minutes & then stops for a while & so on...)that indicates main wash pump faulty. You need to replace the motor it self.I hope that helps.Thanks.
The outlet pump is triggered by the anti flood micro switch via the polystyreene float on the base of the washer. If any water for whatever reason (leaky pipe)is on the floor the machiene automatically switches to pump out mode and only works once the water and the cause is rectified
Make sure there are no leaks from the machine. look behind it and check the water inlet hose and connectors for any damage. Also look under the machine for any water as this may indicate a leak from the internal hose and pipe work and / or water pump. Also check that the outlet hose is completely clear of debris and soap scum build up and check that the filter is clean. Do this on a regular basis. To keep the machine clean of waste build up and to keep any bad odours away 1.Remove all items from the washer. 2.Add 1/4 cup (60 mL) of liquid chlorine bleach to tthe machine. DO NOT use more than 1/4 cup (160mL) of bleach per cycle as this will lead to product damage. 3.Close the washer door and dispenser drawer. 4.Select the Clean Washer cycle or a full wash cotton 104 F wash (40 C) if you have one or use a 60C wash. DO NOT use any higher temperature as this will cause unnecessary fumes 5.Press Start and allow cycle to complete. 6.After the cycle is complete, leave the door open slightly to allow ventilation and drying of the washer interior. 7.Repeat the cleaning procedure as necessary.
If that's the clean lite flashing that is a fault code. That means the control sensed that the heater in the d/w did not operate 3 times in a row. so the unit locks out. First remove the kick plate and you may have to pull the unit out from under the cab, but check your heater. use a meter to see if it reads open, if so order a heater assy it will come with a new control replace it to. If your heater checks good press in sequence normal wash , heat dry ,normal wash, heat dry , normal wash , heat dry three times within 6 sec all the lights will come on then hit cancel. What that did is reset the control and clear that fault. Keep in mind that d/w does not heat it's own water your incoming water temp should be 120. the d/w will maintain that temp. when starting your d/w first turn on your hot water till it gets hot then start your d/w this insures your unit fills with hot water and not cold.
This seems like the anti flood system (polystireen float / micro switch) at the base of the washer is triggered,\. This puts the washer in pump out mode and stops inlet of water via the inlet solinoid. Dry the water on the base and then check for any water leaks. (pipe leak
check the inlet where it joins onto the tap as mine has a fine filter and debris from the fresh water builds up. Simply remove the pipe from the tap and **** ,this should remove /dislodge any scale etc that could be causing the inlet light to come on. Make sure you spit out the water that comes back from the machine!
Kenyanjoe, I have had the same problem with a G638 . the inlet/drain light flashed 30 sec after start up, (the machine must empty on start up, this did not happen), This caused it to lock out on alarm I removed the drain hose from the S trap, removed the non return valve from the filter, check the drain pump impellar is free, then blow down the drain hose back into the dishwasher to make sure it was not blocked then found the drain pipe on the S trap under the sink was restricted causing the machine not to empty in time for the cycle to continue causing it to lockout on inlet/drain alarm. Have a go , good luck. GUNNO
