HELP

Hi,

To my knowledge a CMKM-P3X is a generic interface board assembly, generally used by many electronic manufacturers. I am therefore inclined to think that this is not the real part number or board number for that matter.

Having said that, is it possible for you to provide photos/images of the burned board or component? There is a possibility that generic/replacement/refurbished may then be available.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

I bought a replacement motherboard for my Acer Aspire 9423 , P/N MB.TBH01.002 P/N: 55.4G501.021G but my processor Intel T5500 1.6 GHZ doesnt seem compatible with this mobo. Can you tell me which...

I would just return the mobo and buy the correct replacement board. There are several variations of boards for your model #

Look for your exact PN for your motherboard, should typically be printed on the board next to the memory slots. Then buy the correct board at the link above

I've been told the graphics card is U/S in my ACER ASPIRE computer cannot find where to buy a replacement any ideas

The card you are looking for is a
NVIDIA Riva TNT2 M64, it´s an agp 4x card, ussually with 32 or 64 mb of video ram.
So basically you are looking for an AGP 4X card. If you don´t want to mess with drivers, look for an Nvidia Riva TNT2 M64 with 32 or 64 mb of video ram. You can also look for any other agp 4x but make sure the connector (Bellow the black square) has the same shape and golden parts.
Ebay would be ussually the easiest, and ussually the cheapiest on this card.
Good luck getting a replacement!!

Cd rom drive sr243t1 series-is this item still in production

ACER stocks parts for "discontinued" laptops, but they are VERY expensive.

Take your computer to a qualified technician, who can replace the CD-drive with an less-expensive "generic" replacement, and perhaps add DVD read/write capability.

I've got an Acer t650 desk top. Normally boots at the push of the power switch but has developed problem where by it doesn't boot first time all you get are fans but then it will burst into life and work...

Check for virus first You could have a boot record virus. that said, once the system comes up, backup your files on say a 4gig USB stick. and reinstall the OS or if the system comes with recovery SW use it and rebuild the system.
If you still have problems, you may have to resort to a new Motherboard. ie (mainboard).
I got news for you they are not that hard to change out.
take a few digital photos of the board before you pull it apart.
Make sure you get the right board. CDW could help you with that. and go one for one with the replacement.
It's not as hard as you think.
replacing a MB takes less than 20 min.
I've replaced over 4000 of them from Laptop to desktop to servers in the past 15 years. they have gotten easier in recent years. just make sure you use a static (grounding) strap when doing this. A carpet shock to a computer component is equivalent to you or I getting hit by lighting. even the ones you never feel will distroy the smaller components over time.
goodluck
