Sounds like the audio circuit portion of your tv went out. You could ask Mitsubishi for a list of authorized Mitsubishi service centers in your area. It may be expensive to have it shipped, but it might be cheaper than buying another one.
It sounds like the color wheel has fallen apart. I would recommend calling Samsung at 1-800-samsung to find the closest service center. This can be a difficult repair and I would strongly recommend a Samsung authorized repair center.
If the repair center is an authorized Samsung service center, they should be able to get hte part for you. I don't have parts listings for Samsung sets, but the part numbers should be available from Samsung directly. Since you know the problem, try another service center that is associated with Samsung. Not all independent servicers can get parts from all manufacturers.
There are alot of voltages that are dangerous and you would definately need some experience. My suggestion would be go to mitsubishi's website and search for the authorized repair facilities in your area that do service on mitsubishis, then you could tell the repair center what the code is and they could possibly give you a ball park estimate on the cost of repairs, as alot of shops dont have a clue when it comes to servicing Mitsubishi models.
enter your zipcode in the small box that says repair service and you will see all the repair service techs that are registerd with this site that service sets in your area. Hope it helps. You may also want to check with Phillips/Magnavox to see where the closest authorized repair center is to your location.
Hello Folks, Thanks for getting back to me. Sorry, but my solution was to sell the TV. Am moving on to a canal boat and am getting rid of all sorts of stuff. Was going to repair TV before selling. I've given the buyer your Website details so you will be hearing from him. Best regards, Joe Killman
PS By the way, am living in France. Does that make any difference?
The only number that I have is this 800 number for support.
