Hi,
If the drain pump is running then maybe the filter - usually at the front bottom of the machine - might need cleaned. The pump impellor is usually just behing the filter so it might be jammed with a sock or something that has escaped from the inner drum into the outer one.
How to get the water out? Well, first disconnect the power, get access to the back of the machine, find the end of the drain hose where it goes into the buildings drain system and place the end in a bucket to cath any water that may come out. Tilt the machine backwards in a safe and stable way, like against a wall or friend, then remove the filter from the bottom of the machine. Some water will come out - may a lot! When you have cleared the filter look inside where the filter was and look for a little propeller. That's the pump bit and it should turn if you poke it round with a pointy thing. If it doesn't turn, come back and tell me and we'll take it from there.
If these suggestions do help you solve the problem, please give my reply a rating to help others judge my knowledge / guessing skills.
If they do not, please hold off on the rating and add a comment with more details so I can try to help you further. Cheers, D

Washer won't drain

ND means No Drain(ing). First check that the drain hose isn't kinked. Then, check to make sure the drain hose isn't pushed so far down into the standpipe that it is sealed closed. If it is too tight in the standpipe, it will create a siphoning effect. It has to sit freely but securely in the pipe.

Whirlpool Ultimate Care II is not draing properly and water is flooding out during spin cycle.

remove the hose up where it connects to the tub and see if there isn't anything stuck there, you could still have something stuck between the tubs and it usually will end up here or you could have a damaged pump from the piece of towel you pulled out of it or there's another piece still up in between the tubs and hopefully you'll find it at the hole where the drain hose is.

My washer has gone through the cycle and the door will not unlock. Please help.

Hello,
TYpically the door wont unlock due to not all the water draining from the tub so the water level switch isn't satisfied the water has drained and wont allow the door to unlock.

The most likely problem is that the drain pump screen is clogged so its not draining and if it isn't draining it wont spin.
To check the pump remove the lower panel and the lower right side will be the pump, unscrew the big white cap a little and use towel(s) to catch the water that comes out ,when all water out remove completly and check for blockage.

The machine had an F in the display window and now I can not open the door - it's locked!

Most probably what is happening is that your washer isn't draining out the water so yhe door stays locked.
Easiest thing to do is open up your bottom panel by taking three screws off
then you tilt washer on a 45degree angle and have a couple of towels close by
unscrew cap on front of drain pompe and you will probably find some foreign objects or if not probably drain pump defective.
But before doing all this put washer in a drain spin cycle and if you hear a weird humming sound its a good indicatio that you will be performing what i suggested above

Kenmore 80 Series Mod:110.23832100 top load that with heavy clothes (towells robes) won't drain and leaves excessive water after spin cycle. Everything appears to function otherwise, no odd noises. No...

Hi,
When you are putting the heavy clothes (towels robes) the sleeves of the towels will come out easily and get stuck in between the drain out valve so it will not sent the water out properly please avoid heavy clothes(towels robes) try to give a normal load

Thin-line will not stop filling with water

is it filling and draining at the same time ? if so take the drain house out of the stand pipe (wall) make sure it is oinly in 5-6 inches if it is in too far it will create a syphone where it will fill and drain at the same time and never advace the cycle. you should always hear water going down the drain if you can't it is down too far. let me know how it goes

Kenmore Washer Won't Drain

yes, check the drain, could be clogged, or check the water pump assembly as well, the clothe could be stuck in the impeller.

the burning smell could be coming from a separate electric water pump and it can not turn that is why it is burning already.

Water flowing back into washer after wash

There is a back flow valve attached to the outlet port of the drain pump. It is just a small rubber flap. This sometimes comes loose or remains open due to debris and allows the water in the drain hose to flow back into the machine after the drain pump shuts off. It can be checked by removing the drain hose from the pump inside of the machine. You will lose all of the water in your machine (about 1/2 gallon)when you do this so be prepared with a bunch of towels.
