Yes, you can. I have done it several times. Keep the separated wires fairly short. You can pick the braided (shield) wire apart with a pin or such.

You need to set the transducer lower. When at speed, the hull of the ship raises up out of the water and hence your transducer is probably not deep enough at these times to give a proper reading.

LOOKING FOR RANGER SPORT R70 BOAT MANUAL

Austin,

I have never seen a manual for this boat as a stand alone "boat manual". Typically all you get are the specs on the boat and specific systems have their own manuals. I.E. Manual for the outboard, manual for the bow mount troller, manual for depth finder, manual for radio, etc. Specs for your R70 can be found here.

I just bought a used boat with a Humminbird 160 fish finder on it but, the only thing that shows up on the screen is the temperature, NO DEPTH and NO FISH, is there a setting i need to set as i am clueless...

Check to make sure the transducer is hooked up correctly, and check the actual transducer for signs of damage. Transducers are fragile, and a good whack can break the crystal inside. For more troubleshooting, here is a helpful link with the Owners Manual for your Humminbird.

Hi, make sure that the bottom of the transducer is parallel to the bottom of the boat. It probably has been knocked upwards while on the beach. If not the transducer will need to be replaced. Hope this helps, regards Phil.

Hopefully this is a 4th gen nano... If not you can go to www.apple.com click on support ... there is a search bar there. Put in the keywords that you want ... for example ipod nano 3rd generation manual and search .. it should pull up the older manual for you ... the one I posted is for the 4th generation nano.. hope this helps
