1. If you use the system recovery and go into advanced, it will erase all personal data and all programs installed, putting it back to the way it was when you first purchased the computer.
2. To get to the system recovery on an hp, you press the key that is indicated during bootup, either F10 for older ones or F11 on the newer ones. It will boot into the recovery mode from where you select the advanced option. It will give you a warning that all your personal information will be gone.

Thank you and please take a moment to rate as fixya. Thanks.

SOURCE: factory settings?

First step should be to reformat the drive as this will clean out the physically allocated files, or try using FDISK

How to wipe iPhone cleanly

"Erase all content" means all of YOUR content, including all applications you have downloaded and all the data for those applications and all the data for Apple applications (i.e. Mail, Photos, Calendar, Safari, etc.) will not be completely removed from the device, they still remain on your iPhone and can be easily recovered by some iPhone data recovery.

I highly recommend you to try Safewiper iPhone data eraser app to complete your iPhone data, it will be the best choice when you need to sell your old iPhone or iPad.
