If you have access to another computer to download drivers to a flash drive you can go to this link and get the network drivers you need. Also you can request a complete one-time set of installation disks from Dell at no cost which should include all softwar and drivers that came with your laptop.

Dell inspiron 560 won't recognize network adapter

Try reinstalling the NIC driver. If its separate network card, connected in PCI adapter, try to remove and plug it back in to see if its found after.

If these actions do not help, maybe NIC was damager with the power outage, it can happen.

Dell inspiron 560 won't recognize network adapter

if there is no netework adapter in device manager or any device that is not instaled try checking in BIOS if it is enabled. sometimes after power loss bios is reset. if it is enabled in BIOS that short power outage probably killed your network adapter. you can add some PCI network adapter and solve your problem.

I reinstalled Vista on my Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop and now, my network adapter can not detect any any wireless networks. What can I do?

After the installation of your operating system make sure that the driver of your wireless adapter is also installed. Also you need to check if the wireless switch of your laptop is turned on. If you dont have the driver of your adapter you can download it ath dell support website

Open up PC, Plug it wireless network into a PCI slot, turn on PC, the network device will be recognized and ask for drivers, you insert the CD/DVD that came with it, or use the software you downloaded from Belkin web site and install the WiFi card.. Installed a rangeplus adapter on dell 1000 inspiron xp sp3 home

See if you can go into safe mode by hitting the F8 key right after the dell splash screen and right before the XP splash screen comes up. If you can get into safe mode try to uninstall the rangeplus adapter and try reinstalling again after rebooting the system normally.

Help Installing network adapter for dell inspiron 8600

You need the driver for the Network Adapter. There are two ways to get it: Dell normally also supplies another disk that says "Drivers loaded on your system". But the best way to get the current driver is to go into device manager. Scroll down until you see network adapter. Click on the "+" to open it and right click on the device. Then click on install drivers. That should do it...If you have any questions let me know.

you might be able to put in your service tag and it will tell you the one you have or you can click the plus sign next to where it says network on the page and and download a couple and try them.
