I have an Averatec 1000 model and my fan does not work. I ordered a new fan to install. Is it an easy installation or is there something I should be aware of in the process?

Noisy fans on a desk-top pc Model Acer Veriton 1000. Besides replacement for new fans, can brushless fans be serviced or lubricated?

The Veriton 1000 I have has 50mm fans (length and width). 80mm are the wrong size. They are 15mm thick, 12V, 0.2A. For some reason, these seem to be more expensive than many other fans.

Hi, My averatec is vibrating making weird noises, what causes this?

The only actual components with moving parts are the hard drive and fan(s). Take the side cover off the case and i am sure you will be able to tell which it is. A new cpu/fan heatsink is usually under $20 but a new hard drive could cost you a bit more.

Hi! I just bought a new Averatec All in One computer and set up the internet- plugged the stick to the USB- it´s a wireless connection. A window opened: Installing Blootooth Driver, but he did not...

I assume you attempted to reboot the machine, if not you should try that. Averatec's are notorious for having driver issues in my experience. if it does this installation @ startup you can try and uncheck that process using msconfig... Windows key + R > type msconfig > enter. I'm not sure if that will work as it's the hardware manager trying to install the driver after it detects its presence, what kind of wireless adapter is it, there may be a hotfix or something for it.

Inbuilt camera ( webcam) is not working. Device

I had the same issue... Windows update had installed an updated driver that 'broke' the camera... just roll back your driver and you'll be fine.

*I think MS has fixed this issue and the new driver from windows update is working correctly. If not just roll back to the original and all's well.

How to upgrade RAM in Averatec 1000?

you need to remove the base. if you can use a screwdriver and are careful you can do the lot.
also to make it easier, before u start dissassembly pop the cd drive and undo the 2 screws attaching the silver plastic cover to the drive.

then take the battery out. be careful when you remove the screws for the screen as when u have the case apart the screen brackets tend to get in the way. the speaker grill comes off in one single part.

you will void any warranty left too!

any questions email me at stug45@gmail.com
also if you have any upto date drivers that you've got somehow can you email me!
im looking for upto date vga, mouse and network.
windows update doesnt have it and i cant read korean to get onto the averatec site. the other site i found was a really didge site. :(
