You Crashed Her Hard Drive ???

ok dont panic lets see
things you will need
1.) a disc containing the operating system that she was using,
e.g Mac os, windows xp ,windows vista
2.) a bottle of Good stron whickey, brandy or vodka
any will do just make sure its stong

ok lets start
1.) insert the disc in the drive
2.) boot from the disc, when you turn on the computer its says press some key e.g F9 to select boot options, press that key, it may then ask you to confirm by pressing any key to boot from disc so press any key IF IT FAILS TO DETECT ANY HARD DISC INSTALL SKIP TO THE BUTTOM

Now follow the on screen instruction until it detects the previous operating systems, now you have a choice the one you are going to make is LEAVE THE CURRENT FILE SYSTEM INTACT. or INSTALL IN A SEPERATE FOLDER contine the instillation with your fingers crossed and have a drink of the whiskey (JUST A SIP).

now whens thats finised you wifes files will be located in the main disc e.g drive c
burn it off quickly

repeat the above steap to boot from the disc and now do a full format.

reinstall all her drivers and software

have a drink to celiberate

IF THE ABOVE FAILS, DRINK THE BOTTLE cause u need to tell your wife you are going to have to take it to a certified technician to
1.) recover her lost data
2.) get the ibook back up and running

How to Remove DRM from iBooks eBooks freely

Developed by Apple Inc, iBooks store is a not only a e-book application, but also a online e-books store, which was designed for Apple's iOS and OS X operating system and devices. This iBooks application is available on Mac and iOS, people who use it can purchase and download thousands of e-books from this eBooks store for reading. Besides, the eBooks purchased from iBooks store are encoded in .epub and .pdf with built-in FairPlay DRM technology in order to prevent iBooks users from sharing iBooks e-books without authorization. Although you have already purchased eBooks from iBooks, you are only limited to read them on Apple-approve devices. Put it another way, protected iBooks files are not able to read on common e-Readers, such as Amazon Kindle, Kobo eReader, Nook eReader, and Sumatra PDF.
But most of us would like to read iBooks eBooks on non-Apple devices for some reasons, such as the eyes-friendly-screen of Amazon Kindle. Then what we will do to get this goal? The only thing you should to do is to discover an iBooks DRM removal solution to remove DRM protection from iBooks eBooks once and for all. So this article is coming. We'll introduce the complete tutorial to break DRM lock from iBook protected files with the help of a smart yet easy-to-use iBook DRM remover.
How to Remove DRM from iBooks eBooks
First please download and install the free trial version of http://www.tuneskit.com/ibook-copy-mac.html. Currently this iBooks DRM remover is fully compatible with the latest macOS 10.12 Sierra, OS X 10.11 EI Capitan, 10.10, 10.9 and 10.8. It will take two steps only to completely strip the DRM off.
Step 1Import iBooks to TunesKit iBook Copy

After successfully launching TunesKit iBook Copy for Mac, you can add the iBook files to the program either via the "Add Files" button or via directly drag-and-drop action.
Step 2Remove DRM from iBooks
Once the iBooks are loaded into the program, you can set the output folder as you wish and then start removing DRM from the iBooks by clicking the "Convert" button at the bottom of TunesKit.

If you have another MAC computer available, you can create a USB key to solve this problem:

If not, I'm afraid you will have to turn to an authorized apple service center. They will do the repair for you.

I bought an apple iBook G4 from a local school and i know it was set up for school work only but i was wondering if there was a disk which would wipe out everything and another start up disk that would...

Hi there.

If you don't have the installer disks that came with it when it was first bought, your only option is to a fresh install of a new operating system, leopard or tiger maybe depending on what your ibook can take. If neither of the two can be installed in your ibook (due to technical requirements) , finding a copy of the original OS wont be easy.

Thank you!

I turn on my mac and only this small folder icon appears in the middle of the screen

The face is probably frowning.  The computer cannot find the operating system.  Use a utility disk to boot up the computer and then use First Aid or Disk Utility to check the disk.  You may have to re-install the operating system.  This can be done without losing your files if done correctly.  Seek help from an Apple repair facility if you are in doubt about how to do it.

Grey screen folder icon flashing and alternating with ?

The computer can't find an operating system. Start up from the OSX disc and check the drive with 'Disk Utility'. The system may have got damaged, or the drive may need to be repaired. Run 'First Aid'.

My G4 powermac wont start up it got small icon of a file folder with a "?" and the "smiley apple face" flashing back and forth in the file folder icon. Even when i press my power button it keep doing all...

When your mac comes up with a folder with a "?", it means that you have either a corrupt operating system, or a missing operating system. This means that your MAC OS is broken, and needs to be re-installed. You will lose all the data on your machine, so if you have any information that is important to you, you should try to get that data off of your hard drive. If you dont know how, take it to any Apple certified technician (or anyone who is good with computers) and tell them that you need the information off of that hard drive.

Computer won't work & shows a file icon w/a"? and a smiley face"

the "?" and the "smiley apple face means it couldnt find the osx to boot from. this can be cause by a bad or deleted file or a failing / bad harddrive. it sounds like a bad harddrive since it doesnt find the destination.
