We have a Whirlpool WFS1071BD. We are on tank water (rain water), with resultant poor pressure. We're finding our washing is increasingly smelly (mould?). Is there anything we can do/put through to make it wash better? We've tried various different liquids, it being a front loader too, without success... Cheers, Tom and Vicki

Epsom salts are the only thing that makes a difference tried all the new gear doesnt work as good as epsom salts every two weeks 1/2 cup on hot wash with no clothes & use cold power advanced washing powder this is the best way of keeping control of it once you get it clean you have to keep on top of it the smell doesnt take long to come back with out continues treatment.

In a pitcher, mix 1/2 white distilled vinegar, and 1/2 hot water. Add two teaspoons of blue Dawn dish soap. Sprinkle a decent amount of baking soda in the bottom of the washer tub, pour the pitcher over the baking soda it will bubble up. Make sure all of the baking soda gets the solution poured on it. Then run a cycle through with no clothes in it. That will clean the tub and drain line, & help with the smell and the mold. You also mentioned that it came from a rainwater tank, the line running from the tank to the washer may need to be cleaned out with the same solution. I hope this helps

I have 2018 coachman vip the problem is the poor water flow. We were advised to in crease the pressure but can't find switch ??

increasing the pressure switch will not fix poor flow
that is from inadequate water supply to or from the pump
check for blocked / kinked lines to the pump from the tank, tank not venting, tap washer problems preventing flow

Hello Janine Gooch,

Went out on our internet trying to find your trouble shooting guide (typically in the OWNERS MANUAL)...

Finally ended up in AU ... No luck.
(September 9th is only 6 hours old here (SF Bay area)).

Your local peers have NOTHING NICE to say about that machine... particularly the CONTROL BOARD:

My whirpool WFS1071BD front load washing machine leaking when spinning

During drain and spin only A washer that leaks only during the spin cycle often has a leak in the main drain hose. Inspect the entire hose and correct any problem you find.

Whirlpool g2p dwi dishwasher putting specks of food on crockery and glasses.

The water pressure must be good and the spraying must be seen to be good. If there is low pumping or pressure then the spray arms will not turn around to inject with pressure which can result in poor washing and leaving of specks. If so the pump must be checked for clogging.

To replace check this link:
