The S51c adds wifi capabilities to the S51, allowing you to download pictures to a computer via a wifi connection. Otherwise the two models are identical; both models will accept SDHC cards up to 32GB in size.

SD and SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.
I have no idea which card you are referring to, but I am assuming it is NOT a SD or SDHC card for those are the only formats that the Nikon S51C will accept.
If you do have the aforementioned, it may be locked or need formatting.
If it is locked look for a little switch on the card and slide it to the other direction.
If it needs formatting, it can be done from a computer equipped with a card reader.
Basically, you select the direction, then take one pic. The camera displays a faint rendition of a portion of that frame so you can line up the next one, and so forth.
hi.. There is a tab on the memory card so you will you need to remove
it from the camera and change the position of this tab to "unlock" it. You need to unlock the card itself. Take it out and look for a tab on the left. It should be pushed up.
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive.
