I'm using Outlook 2003 for my emails. I have changed over from ADSL Broadband to Mobile Wireless. In the process, I cannot find my original address book and special emails I have kept. I was told by Telstra to contact you as you should be able to help me. I had to have another "box" but was given back my original email address.

Outlook 2003 saves the emails, contacts etc in a *.pst file. Do a search for *.pst on your computer.
Also do a search for Address book.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response. Thanks, Joe

My suggestion use Gmail and import your old email with the aid of the video above. Not all is lost.
Most of the time you can recover the old email and the old address book

I have problems to set up my account with Microsoft Office Outlook

If you are using Microsoft office outlook 2007, open your outlook, a wizard will appear, under email accounts click yes, click next, then under auto account setup, click check box on manually configure server settings then next, choose a.) internet email, (if you have your incoming and outgoing mail server), then next, then supply all information needed, account type pop3, name, email address, account name (must be the complete email address) incoming and outgoing then password, then next then hit finish or choose b.) Microsoft exchange (if you have an exchange server and you are on a network or a company) then next, fill out the information needed, your exchange server and your email address then click finish.
If you are using Microsoft office 2003, the process is just the same..
but, if you already have an existing email on your outlook and you want to modify it, go to tools, then email accounts (2003) or tools, option, mail setup, then email accounts, (2007), on the new window, double click the existing mail then supply again all the informations needed: name, email address, account name (must be the complete email address) incoming and outgoing then password. test if successful by sending an email to your own email address

I cant get virgin netgear router to connect to my medion laptop, i get to the last part of the installation process when it says attempting to connect to newtork and it comes up move your connections...

Have you accessed and setup your wireless part of the modem?

To access the router settings menu, you will first need to log into the Wireless router following the steps below:
Open Internet Explorer
In the address bar type the following address:
192.168.0.1

You will be prompted to enter a Username and Password to access the interface, please use the following default details:
Username: This can be found on the bottom of the router
Password: This can be found on the bottom of the router

From the list on the left hand side, click on ‘Router Status’.
Within the Router Status section there are two areas you will be able to access:

Show Statistics
Connection Status

The Router Status page gives you a detailed status overview of the connection configured on the Wireless router.
Click ‘Connection Status’ to see more information on the broadband connection.
If you have already configured your broadband, you are able to establish/terminate the connection by clicking Connect/Disconnect.
You can also click ‘Show Statistics’ to show you current connection speed and more information on your Broadband connection.
Clicking on Basic Settings enables you to check all the Internet settings of your Broadband connection. Including the Login name (username) and password, IP address and type of connection.
Clicking on ‘Test’ will perform a standard check of your Internet connection and settings.
ADSL SETTINGS
The ‘ADSL Settings’ section provides you with some more information about your Internet connection. These are:
Multiplexing Method
VPI
VCI
WIRELESS SETTINGS
This section gives you full information regarding the Wireless connection. From here, you can change security settings, the SSID (Name) of the router and the access control list. Options list from:
Name(SSID) virgin broadband (default)
Region Europe(default)
Channel 11(default)
Mode g&b(default)
Enable Wireless Access point
Allow broadcast name
Security options (None, WEP and WPA)
- hope this helps

I was having this same problem.

Here's what I did:
Under Tools-->Accounts, select email account and then select Properties-->Servers. At the bottom, check the box "My Server Requires Authentication," and then select Settings. Select "use same settings as my incoming server"

After I did all that, my problem disappeared. Hope that helps you.

Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2007

When sending emails, while on the move (i.e using different wireless or broadband connections), if you do not click authentication required for the outgoing server and enter the username and password, or click use the same as incoming server the emails will not successfully deliver. It all depends on which email provider you are using.
