I think your BPM machine has some problems in the electronic components it might not due to the cuff. Shoud return to the shop when you bought it from.

What inflation setting do I use for the OMRON HECM -712c. Should it be 140, 170, 200 or 240?

The inflation setting depends on your blood pressure. If you have blood pressure that is below 120/80 and find the cuff painfully tight when inflated, try setting the inflation to 140. If you have really high blood pressure (>200), you need the 240 setting. The cuff has to inflate to a pressure higher than your systolic value. However, you don't want feel like you are cutting off your circulation to your arm.

I hope this helps.

We have an omron automatic blood pressure monitor HEM-741CAN but no manual. Can you send me a link so I can read about how to use this machine please

They are really easy to use. Make sure it has good batteries, put cuff on arm above elbow with tube facing up, press start and remain still. Cuff will inflate and air will slowly release while reading, and then release completely when done and show reading.

Why does anOmron M7 Blood Pressure Monitor Cuff not fully inflate?

I have the BP760 model so I'm not entirely sure what the functionality differences would be. However from time to time I have had issues with the cuff not inflating. It is usually one of two things: the cuff is not positioned snugly enough on the arm (I have a skinny arm and sometimes need to enlist the help of a family member). The other time it has happened was when the inflation tube itself with so kinked and twisted that air could not flow through. You should also check to make sure that the inflation tube in securely connected to the unit. So make sure that the air supply from the cuff to the unit is not obstructed, and that the arm cuff is positioned properly and that you are not trying to put the cuff on over clothing. If you've checked all of this and/or you receive the error message of "Er", you should contact customer service. Hope this helps.

My blood pressure machine keeps giving me an error 3 it is a cvs brand

Several of the CVS brand blood pressure monitors are made by MicroLife USA. For those models, the Error 3 indicates that you may have been moving your arm while the unit was obtaining the readings. You need to repeat the measurement while staying still.

The other possible cause of the error are that the cuff didn't inflate in a reasonable length of time. Check that the cuff is properly placed on your arm. Also make sure that the inflation hose is tightly connected to the cuff socket on the unit.

I hope this helps.

Neither of the cuffs on the Homedics S18729 Ultra-Deluxe Automatic Blood Pressure Monitor work. They do not fit well around my arm and constantly slip while inflating. I don't know if it is a design flaw...

Robert, I'm not sure that the cuffs would be interchangeable. But, I suspect the problem you're having with the cuff is operator error. Speaking from experience, it's somewhat difficult at best, to apply and arm cuff to yourself. It does take some practice, but if you can get the cuff snugly in place, it should inflate properly. If you want to pursue with interchanging the cuff, contact HoMedics at 800-469-3342, to see if it's possible. Perhaps, you should get a BP Monitor that has a wrist cuff. They're a lot easier to apply and use.

Omron- HEM712C- why does the\r\ncuff opens, when trying to take pressure.

It's likely due to either improperly seating the cuff over your arm, or the cuff being sized to small for the circumference of your arm. First make sure that the cuff is set up properly, the "hook" end of the velcro needs to be facing away from your arm. Once you double the cuff back, make sure that it is not so tight as to be cutting off circulation. If this occurs the force of inflation will cause the velcro to separate. It's also possible that the package included to small of a cuff. If so the manufactor has a largercuff here. http://www.omrononlinestore.com/JHI/guid.569520918/~/productID.4509/US/details.html

More frequently my Omron HEM-780 seems flaky. It would apply pressure and count up to 112-120 then start deflating, then inflating, etc. Then it would count down by units and end up displaying E. It would...

Part of the problem may the the placement of the cuff. Generally, if it's not placed correctly. the cuff will re-inflate trying to find the correct stopping point for inflation. Any movement of your arm could cause this. Also, if you haven't replaced the batteries lately, you should do that. Also check to make sure there are no air leaks in the rubber tubing or the cuff. Check your Owners Manual for the exact placement of the cuff.

If it is new ask manufacturer for a replacement. or at least a larger cuff. THe cuff you are using maybe too big or too small for your arm for it to function correctly

When the pressure comes up on the monitor the top number was reading EE. It did it three times. I can't find the instructions. The machine is an Omron model: 741CREL. Thanks.

EE=Cuff under-inflated=not inflated enough. While cuff is inflated, keep pressing START button until pressure reaches 15-20 mmHg higher than the pressure when it stops and displays EE. Make sure at least 5 min allowed between readings.
