Hi,

To connect to the network in your laptop without entering a PIN code, please follow these steps.

1. Connect the computer to the router with an ethernet cable in one of the grey slot in the router.

2. Open up internet explorer and clear the address bar and type in http://192.168.2.1 and hit enter.

3. You will find a belkin router setup page, In the left hand side under the heading Wireless click on Wifi Protected Setup

4. When it asks you for a password leave it blank and click on submit.

5. There change Wifi Protected setup to disabled and click on apply changes.

6. Then in your laptop connect to the wireless network without any PIN number.

Ok, here's the issue I'm having. I have my regular computer in one room. I got a new pc for another room. I was trying to hook up the Belkin wireless router too it, and something isn't working...

the problem is likely you need to load up your computer's wireless manager- for instance, is there an icon that looks like a fan or a staircase? that would be the manager for your connection. At that point you should be able to setup the connection w/ the right wireless key/passcode in the pc and have all the wireless issues resolved (basically you'd be looking for something like Intel Proset, Dell Wireless Utility, or other utility/manager (it will usually have "Wireless Utility" in the name somewhere... makes it easier to find!)

Setup didn't work, "details" section on network

Win7 will connect without any problems, but win vista will not get connected to the network...
You can update the drivers for wireless adapter in vista laptop, it will get connected...
If it still not getting connected then change the security settings on your router to 64bit WEP... (Initially it will be in WPA)
disabled the WPS (wifi protected setup) in the router...
change the ssid in the router...
Now try to connect to the new wireless network...It will work perfectly....

click here to configure the wireless part of your belkin router...

How to get Belkin wireless router to connect automatically from Vista

choose the "connect automatically when network is in range" option from control panel > network and sharing center > Manage wireless network > right-click the wifi network click properties to get there. Also make sure your desired network is at the top of the list so it is preferred over others.

Wireless connection to belkin g router model no. f5d7230-4

You need to access the setup page of the router using connected computer.

In your browser's address bar, type 192.168.2.1.

By default, leave the password blank.

On the Belkin setup page, go to Wireless.

Take note of the SSID. This is the name of your wireless connection.

Then go to Security under Wireless. Copy the network key.

On your friend's laptop, view the available wireless networks, you should see the SSID, then just enter the network key.

I hope this helps!

Trying a add another desk top to an existing Belkin wireless G router at home. Right now there's a desk top and laptop working off this router.Try several times and still can't connect to internet.

Make sure the Belkin wireless is the only device directly connecting to your internet service provider's router/modem. Usually that port is labelled "WAN" or even "Internet". The Belkin should have extra ports/jacks for WIRED connections, right? You then connect the PC into the other remaining ports/jacks on the Belkin (if they're wired) or just use the wireless for the laptop if the laptop has wireless. After getting the wireless going, though, you should lock it down by using WPA encryption key if possible.
