Hello all, I bought SpeedStream 6300 from Bell a couple of years ago and It is mine , but for a while it was not in use. The problem with SpeedStream 6300 that I could not login into modem's webpage. The initial page asks to provide user name and password. I tried the old user name and password which were given to me from Bell some years ago, but now it failed. Thinking that I misspelled the password and username, I reset the modem a couple of times in hope to login as "admin" for user and "admin" for passowrd. But it failed as well. Now I can not get to the setting of the modem as the initial page shows me that the login fails. May you help me? Thank you.

Try typing *228, and send. Select option 2 -- updating your roaming capibilities. The phone will go through a sequence of unlocking and reprogramming...DO NOT SHUT THE PHONE OFF DURING THIS PROCESS. It only takes a couple of minutes...or less...and will notify you that the phone was successfully updated. I had a similar problem a couple of years ago, and this seemed to solve it. Good luck!!
you have to configer your router are you using dsl or cabel inter net
cabel you dont need to set in log on but dsl you do
secound configer your router wireless i think you are are useing dsl speed stream bell use
Heres what I would do. Plug the speeedstream in, reboot the computer. Now we need to find your "Default Gateway" (the IP address of your speedstream). In windows XP:
type IPCONFIG (enter)
you will now have some information on your screen, look for the "default gateway" Enter this number in the address bar and you should be directed toward the speedstream configuration page.
(If its anything like the Speedstreem 6520 you will go to the "Home Network" option and then you will see wireless.)
Wireless security is commonly performed by encryption using wep setting a network key. That key is to be shared by both the router and the network card to allow encrypted communications. If appears you have not provided the network key that was configured into wireless router to the wireless adapter card to allow them to exchange encrypted communications. The preferable solution would be to get the active network from the router and provide in to the wireless adapter in the prompt / request you were presented. This will protect you wireless network from access by those you have not shared the key with.
