Question about Mitsubishi Mr. Slim MXZ30TN Air Conditioner

Mr. Slim MSY-A17NA noisy interior fan

The inside unit fan was getting louder because it developed mold on the fan blades over the winter. I was told the drain pipe may have back drafted from a strong wind as a possible cause. The service tech said he never saw anything like it when he cleaned it. The fan seems to be getting louder. This unit is 3 years old. Any suggestions to return to the "whisper" quiet we once enjoyed?

My Mitsubhishi Mr. Slim MSZ-A17NA 1 is drippping water on the inside. I have turned it off for now. What should I do? We're in Mississippi and it is a hot day! thanks

Make sure the unit is leveled, there is a drain hose coming from rigt side of the unit goes through the wall to the outside and down, this hose is probably clogged up.

Go outside the house and look for it. there should be some tubing wrapped in insulation going up to the roof top and a drain hose coming down. You can try to unplugged it from the inside using a wire clothes hanger or you can blow air from the outside end into the unit, you only need a small blow and you can use a flexible funnel or a piece of garden hose and some tape to do it. if you are going to do this make sure to drain all water from unit using a towel to avoit splashing. This works all the time.

Don"t forget to rate this post. Good Luck!

Mold inside the home unit

You can use a spray bottle with 100% bleach in it to kill the mold. After spraying the gunk, you can put on some rubber gloves (those dishwashing ones are a good choice) and use some paper towels to wipe up as much of the mold as you can reach.

Spray more bleach on the parts you're cleaning to keep sanitizing the A/C unit and wipe everything dry. You should put all the stuff you used for cleaning it up (paper towels, gloves, etc.) into a plastic trash bag,

I'd also recommend that you do this when any small children and pets aren't in the room you've got the A/C in, and also wear a face mask to keep from breathing in anything that could cause a respritory ailment.

You can also use some Lysol disenfectant to give the whole unit a nice going over, once you're done, to be sure that you've killed any active mold spores. It might be good to give the unit a once-a-month cleaning to prevent the growth of mold in the future.

Hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!

There is black mold on the blades and inside where the air exits. The filters are clean. Can I remove blades and grid mesh to clean or how do I do this.

i use bleach, clorox is best. I have 6 rental units i take care of and it works great. You need to use a hand pump spray bottle to spray the bleach. Let it set for about 30 min to a hour. then spray with a garden hose. use a air tank or air compressor to blow the fan motor and caps. f you don't have air let it set outside for 8 hours.hope this helps you.
