KitchenAid ACCOLADE 400 Mixer. When mixing dough the bowl jumps out of the the bowl lock. How can this problem be resolved?

I know this sounds a bit simple but the bowl cup can sometimes actually wear out and a very fast (# screws) and a new one and the problem is solved. If however there is a problem on the head hold down set screw (under the mixer in the cavity ) it can come loose then the mixer head can bounce all over the place causung the bowl to get loose in the holding cup at the base of the mixer., I hope this helps, let us know if you need more, we can FixYa

I need a replacement bowl. LOVE the mixer!

Contact the manufacturer and tell them what you need. Normally the will send a complete unit instead of just the bowl because they can afford it anyway rather than split up a unit. This has always been the case for myself when needing a replacement part of that size.

Kitchenaid mixer glass bowl broke. I need a replacement. I have a 4c mixer. Do you know where I can find one?

The glass bowl for the 4c mixer is much different than the bowls that are currently available. Your best option is going to be to find a used bowl off of eBay.

Your other option would be to replace the bowl lock plate and buy a new bowl for the mixer. I have had a few customers say this works, and I have had a couple say that replacing the bowl lock plate and bowl did not work. So you can give this a try as well.

My kitchen aid mixer bowl falls out when I'm mixing

Hello Heather,

Either the grooves on the bowl lock plate are worn out, or the grooves on the actual bowl are worn out. I would start with replacing the bowl lock plate. Here is a link to the part: KitchenAid Mixer Bowl Lock Plate 4163032

This part is really easy to replace, it is held into place with three screws, remove those screws (make sure to hang onto those you will need them to re-install the new part). then you should be able to pop the old plate out. To install the new plate like up the screw holes, and press into place, sometimes you need to lightly tap it into place with a rubber mallet as it is suppose to be a very tight fit.

Once that has been replaced your bowl should lock into place tightly. However there is always a chance that the bowl has been worn down and may need to be replaced. Here is a link to the 4.5 Quart bowl: KitchenAid 4 5 Quart Stainless Steel Bowl

I need a glass replacement bowl for my GE Stand Mixer. I realize it is 6 years old and it was purchased at WalMart, but am having a hard time justifying buying a new mixer when this one is in great shape....

Hello, Cheryl -

Without knowing the model number of your GE stand mixer and the country where you reside it is difficult to direct you properly.

You can add the model number and your country of residence by either using the Edit feature of your question or adding the information to the Comment box.

If you reside in the USA, if you have not already done so, I suggest you call the Walmart GE Call Center and ask where you can purchase the small glass bowl for your model of GE stand mixer. This is the phone number:
877-207-0923
Monday-Friday: 8 a.m.-8 p.m. (Eastern Time)
Saturday-Sunday: Closed

Best wishes.

Bowl Repair

A body shop (automotive) can get rid of the dings, but re-tinning is the trick.

You may consider purchasing a bowl. For example, I could get you a new 80qt bowl for under $500, and a 20qt for under $150.

What is your location? If I can help, let me know.
