LG dryer doesn't dry clothes on one cycle. Lint collects around bottom of door rubber seal. Have noticed, the door is not closed tight. How to get door to stay closed tightly?

It sounds like you have a plugged up vent causing air to try to blow out around door instead of out vent. Also check door latch to see if anything is broken.

I have a TDC6 drier. It starts drying and dryer light is on, but light goes out and it stops drying? Will you be able to tell me what the problem is?

DRYER OVERHEATING:

Heating Element
A defective heating element can make a dryer too hot. If the element partially shorts out, it can produce heat all the time, regardless of whether the dryer is calling for heat. Remove the heating element to inspect it. The coils should not be touching each other or anything else.

Other Causes and Conditions
Air Flow Problem
Dryers need good ventilation to work properly. If the vent is clogged it can make the dryer too hot. Clean all of the vent tubing thoroughly.

Cycling Thermostat
Although not common, a defective cycling thermostat can make the dryer too hot. The cycling thermostat is supposed to turn on and off the heat to maintain the proper temperature. If the thermostat is defective it may keep the heat on too long. The thermostat is not adjustable or repairable, it must be replaced.

Felt Seal
Most dryers have a felt seal at the front and rear of the drum to keep the heat inside the drum. If the felt seal is worn away or missing, the dryer may keep heating and make the dryer too hot. This is not common.

Blower Wheel
A defective blower wheel will not spin properly and will not vent the hot air, making the dryer too hot. Check to see if there is adequate airflow out of the dryer.

I've bought a Defy Autodry tumble dryer, but the black "rubber" on the door keeps coming out, which then pushes the door open, and the machine then automatically stopped. Can i just replace...

A TUBE OF CONTACT CEMENT WORKS WONDERS ON THE SEALING RUBBER - JUST FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS ON THE TUBE . IF ITS GOOD ENOUGH FOR DOOR SEALS IN THE AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY ITS GOOD ENOUGH TO HOLD YOUR DOOR SEAL IN PLACE - GOOD LUCK.

The freezer keeps on frosting up ,and ice dispenser over flows don't know if that is related or not.Have to defrost every 2 weeks. Thanks.

Check the seal on the door.. Make sure the door closes all the way. Take piece of paper and put it on the surface that touches the refere and seal and close the door and slowly drag the paper out of the machine. Note how much drag is applied to the paper. It should be equal all the way around the door seal. If it is not, then either the seal is damaged or needs to be reheated. If it is damaged, then replace it. If it is distorted, then take a hair dryer and heat the rubber seal, careful to not get it too hot, and work the rubber so it will return to its original form. Recheck with the paper drag test and you should be good to go... Lemme know how it goes... 765d50e.gif
