The screen on my Acer Aspire t180 has shifted both horizontally and vertically so the borders that should be at the edge are now in the middle can this be fixed easily?

Either the wrong screen driver has been loaded or the screen is faulty.
Load Control Panel, select "Device Manager" and look for "Display Adapters". Open it and select "Drivers" then "Update Drivers".
If that doesn't fix it, you probably have a display hardware failure.

What is the PCI device in device manager that is missing drivers? I had to reformat, have got all drivers but this oneI have an acer t180 desktop

Your best bet is to run a program like DriverAgent.com. This will scan your laptop and let you know which drivers are out of date and missing. You can also download the latest drivers.

Hi there,

dont worry your not the only person that has had this problem i had it too along with others,

theres no ways round it, either go to the acer website and download the drivers, or simply reinstall vista.

downloading the drivers may not work, as the hardware ay be built for vista.

hope this helps

Acer Aspire T180 Missing Drivers

My problem was with the T180 was the VGA support under XP. Reinstalling the Chipset drivers fixed that - audio and ethernet still broken but I'm using a wireless adapter for networking and I have separate sound care for sound - but anyway the link is:

http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/downloads_gd.html

I downloaded and installed chipset for XP 32 and it worked fine - presume the same is true for the Home Edition drivers.

I did try the pdf index suggested by a previous poster but I found all the links to XP drivers were broken.
