LG KF510 model not receiving full text mes...

When i get a long text message, i receive only part of the msg , then at teh end there is a small envelope icon surrounded by a red square.
When i then get a smaller text message, at the end of that message is the the end of the previous message. very confusing and i have no idea how to resolve this. Any idea ?
