Hi,

This could be indicative of a dirty lens or at worst defective. Have you tried using a CD cleaner similar to those used in computer CD ROMs?

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

If the unit is fairly new perhaps your best bet would be to seek warranty repair services. Should you be considering a DIY (do-it-yourself) the bulk of the repair job would be removing it from its location. Thereafter, it would be a matter of removing the panel covering and checking the inside. Sometimes the unit would only require manual cleaning, a spray of compressed air, a spray of electronic contact cleaner specially on the mechanical portion and re-application of appropriate lubricant. As stated earlier should these be not corrective, then perhaps it is time for a replacement unit considering the cost of repair and the downtime.

Would you know the exact model number of the Pioneer unit? Would it be a DEH-P3000, 4000 or another pls?

Eject button just beeps and cds wont come out or change. i diconnected the baterry for a few minutes then reconnected it to see if the computer would reset and allow me to get them out. now the cd player...

Try inserting another disc without actually inserting it. What I mean is try to fake out the player by inserting another disc, let it start to grab and pull it out before it gets sucked in. This will hopefully trick it into thinkig there is a disc in it so the no disc error goes away. Then try ejecting as normal.

Good Luck

hope this helps

My cd player wont work but my radio does in my pontiac 2006 sunfire. Is it the fuse?

Absolutely not. The cd mech is damaged. If it makes a clicking sound when you press eject, it has a cracked gear retainer. If it just plain doesn't read discs or says ERR, it has a bad laser, which means it's time for a new radio. If you need to replace the radio, consider an aftermarket option such as Kenwood, Pioneer, Alpine, etc... It will often cost far less than a factory unit from the dealership and outperform it significantly (as well as offer better features like MP3 inputs).

In dash changers are pretty much problems waiting to happen. Your best solution would be to replace it with an aftermarket radio.

See if the cd is not fully inserted, take another cd and gently try to put it into the cd player to push any stuck cds back in. If this does not work you will need to replace the radio.

AVIC-N1 Mechanism Error ON PIONEER CAR UNIT IS DISPLAYED ON THE SCREEN, IT WILL NOT EJECT A DISC. THIS OCCURRED AFTER THE BATTERY ON THE CAR RAN DOWN AND THEN THE CD DVD PLAYER WOULD NOT WORK PROPERLY.

If the battery was recharged by someone who accidenly reversed the leads then it can kill a radio, usually blows radio fuse first tho. Im affraid the unit needs repair from what youre saying.

Pioneer radio/cd player

The problem has not been solved. I tried a cd cleaner, but that was also ejected immediatly. The cd player was working perfectly but gradually it began to eject certain cd's and then any cd that was inserted.
