No,,,,,,,,In wireless connection at first you have to configure in the d-link router for that you have to go
the router page in that one option is there wireless you have to give there ssid, channels, encapsulatrion etc...
you have to configure it.and you have to give protection from the outsider then you configure the wireless
web key tp portect it.
after then you have to installed your usb adpater and installed the driver of the adpater
after then you have to go the destop in there my network place right clik on it>properties>in there
you get the wireless option right clik enbale after then go to the view the wireless network same right clik the wireless icon.
connect it.if your firewall is on then off and any proxy server is there then remove it then you get it......

Dear ubose1, This is Howard from TP-LINK Support Force. Maybe the anti-virus software blocks the driver installation. Please disable the self-defense function and exit it. Then try to install the driver again.

In your router configuration, activate WPA2 encryption with a 64 bit key. Get a random key here:

Use this key to use the router connection with other computers in your home.

Hello,

I'm afraid your only option is to get the drivers one way or the other before you can connect to the internet or the network.

What I recommend is simply downloading the drivers from another computer that has access to the internet and transfering the driver package with a USB key or an other portable storage device.

Thanks,

Pat

Hello,
Your adapter cannot connect i
1. f there is no wireless networks to connect to
2. If there are networks around but they hide their SSID (some thing like a name or call letters for a radio)
3. If the power signal received is weak
4. If there are security measures enforced on the network that prevent non authorized.

If it is your nework you are trying to connect to you must configure your router to allow your computer access to your network and through your network to the Internet.
Hope it helps.

So you have a DSL modem connected to a router connected to a wireless router connected to both your computers? Sounds like you need to just get a wireless modem and throw all the routers away.
