Hello, My old simpson 175 goes fine upto the spray rinse and then makes this HORRIFIC screaming sound! As its so loud, I dont know if it is actually working but you HAVE to stop it. It sounds like...

Yes sounds like a dry bearing. Belt driven machines can also make a screeching noise if the belt slips. Spray with Belt Conditioner available from auto supply shops. Australian machines a bit problematic for this North American based site. I see manuals listed but nothing that looks like a schematic or workshop manual. There is a link to the Simpson website though.

Programme runs ok but once it reaches 1 minute remaining, the machine keeps on going & does not finish the cycle.

David it sounds like a timer problem, if newer machine the timer may be part of the board, which will have to be checked by a tech for repair or replacement.

Simpson 175 shorting out

there are 2 items that come into play when the wash cycle starts 1 is a capacitor for the motor and the other is the module that works the agitator.. The module when it fails will not spin the motor so I seriously suspect that the capacitor has failed giving you a direct short to earth

Simpson Esprit 750 washing machine timer?

Hi! My Simpson Esprit 750 washing machine won't click over to the next stage in the cycle. All of the stages work if you turn the dial manually so I am wondering if it may be the timer that needs replacing? I can't hear it in operation. Thanks.

Simpson 175 wont take on hot water

Your water inlet valve is bad on the hot water side and needs to be replaced. It is located right after the supply hose for the hot line behind the back plate
