I had the same problem. The power light would flash once but never got a picture. Was also previously having sound problems for a few seconds on startup. Changed capacitor C926 (1000uF 16V) for 1000uF 63V and it solved both problems.

My tv did the same thing. Replace the capacitor marked C926 that is marked on the main(big) board. It fixed mine. The lead was broke off inside the capacitor.

No Picture and Lttle red light next to power buttons blinks for about 30 seconds

First thing to do is reset ( see link below) and see if it resets otherwise if problem continues it will need some work

Seven blinks - High voltage shutdown. The high voltage has exceeded 33k and the unit goes immediately into safety shutdown. Check power supply regulation and horizontal circuits. There are some common breakdowns in the High Voltage circuits in this set. One is the flyback transformer. Another is a small high voltage capacitor in the sweep corrction circuit. There is a cap that goes open in a high voltage circuit (C6532) which needs to be replaced.

My TV stays on for 5 seconds when turned on and then goes off.

Most likely you have a power supply issue. If the TV uses an external power supply you might try replacing it. If it is internal (probably is), it would be one of the cheaper things to repair at a TV shop. So you will have to get an estimate to see if it is worth it to you.
Capacitors in power supplies have a tendency to go bad and need to be replaced.
There are other possibilities, but this is the most likely problem.

JVC TV- MODEL AV-K21T.

it was not necessry to replace so many parts if you go as per proper procedure.please proceed as 1 isolate horizontal output section from power supply & make power supply ok. 2 if it becomes ok check hor osc,driver&h/output section. 3 if it is ok connect power input to hor.section which was isolated. 4 check for loose contact or print. 5 put on tv .
