How do I add a 2 channel amp to a Denon avr 2307ci

To add a 2-channel amplifier to your Denon AVR 2307ci receiver, you can follow these general steps:
1. Determine the amplifier connection type: Check the specifications of your 2-channel amplifier and identify the available input and output options. Common connection types include RCA (analog) and speaker wire (for binding posts or terminals).
2. Identify the pre-out connections on your Denon AVR: Locate the pre-out connections on the back of your Denon AVR 2307ci receiver. These are typically labeled as "Pre Out" or "Preamp Out" and may be color-coded. You will need to find the pre-out connections for the front left and right channels.
3. Connect the RCA cables: If your amplifier has RCA inputs, use RCA cables to connect the pre-out connections of the Denon AVR to the corresponding inputs on the amplifier. Connect the left channel pre-out on the Denon to the left channel input on the amplifier, and do the same for the right channel.
4. Connect the speaker wires: If your amplifier uses speaker wire connections, connect the front left and right speaker outputs of the Denon AVR to the corresponding inputs on the amplifier using speaker wire. Make sure to observe the proper polarity (positive and negative) when connecting the wires.
5. Configure the Denon AVR settings: Access the setup menu of the Denon AVR by using the remote control or the front panel display. Navigate to the audio settings or speaker configuration section. Look for an option to enable "Preamp Mode" or "Preamp Outputs." Enable this option to ensure that the front left and right channels are redirected to the pre-out connections.
6. Set the amplifier to the correct input: If your amplifier has multiple inputs, select the input that corresponds to the connection from the Denon AVR.
7. Adjust volume and settings: After completing the connections, you may need to adjust the volume levels on both the Denon AVR and the amplifier. Use the Denon AVR as the primary volume control and adjust the amplifier's volume accordingly.
It's important to consult the user manuals for both your Denon AVR 2307ci and the 2-channel amplifier to ensure proper setup and compatibility. If you're uncertain about any specific steps or settings, it's advisable to consult the manuals or reach out to Denon customer support for assistance.

Can I make the Denon AVR-2307Ci receiver have a passthrough for 3D?

I believe it is like my Denon AVR-3808 as it's a HDMI v1.3 compliant. For 3D you need 1.4. So I now use optical cables to the AVR and HDMI to the TV. Then config the DNLA player to split the video to HDMI and the 5.1 sound to optical.

I have a denon dra-697ci power is plugged in but face does not have any lights nor does the power switch have any both fuses are okay any sugestions would be greatly appreciated

Most likely, you Denon has a condition known as DC Offset(meaning a damaged amplifier which requires a major repair) The other issue, may be a microprocessor IC, a computer within you Denon) that has had some issue, causing it to not power up. Try a Factory Reset first. The procedure is found in you owners manual under, Reset, Factory Reset, or Rest to original setting, as it came from the factory..If you need further assistance, please contact me at my my website at audioserviceclinic.com. Thank you.

We have a DVD components to our AVR-2307CI Denon receiver and then is outputted through the HDM1 1 out connection. The message 'not supported mode' comes up. Please help to tell me what I am doing wrong....

HDMI1 on the receiver is an input not an output. Make sure your TV connected to HDMI MONITOR OUT. On HDMI setup, check if analog to HDMI convert is ON, Color Space set to YCbCr. If you have more problem refer to page 54 of the owner's manual.

Denon 1508

This should resolve your propblem... taken from the Denon USA FAQ...

You’ll rarely need to "initialize the microprocessor" under normal operating conditions. In a few cases, the microprocessor will temporarily freeze or "lock up" just as your home computer does. When this happens, just follow the guidelines in the back of your owner’s manual to "unlock" the microprocessor and restore normal operation. (This is directly comparable to rebooting your computer. It’s an electronic wake up call to your unit’s temporarily paralyzed microprocessor "brain.")
If you experience some unusual behavior -- a channel that’s suddenly silent, "forgotten" level adjustments, some eccentricities in your unit etc. -- you may need to reset the microprocessor. Of course, you should check all connections carefully first. But if you’ve eliminated these items as a source of potential problems, you may need to go through the initialization process.)
Initialization is easy. Please refer to your owners manual for instruction on reseting the microprocessor as each unit may have its own individual protocal for reset.
What causes these problems? Several things can -- a jolt of static electricity, a current surge through an antenna input, etc. But don’t worry, the microprocessor is well shielded from any permanent effects.
When you do initialize the microprocessor, remember that this erases any setup instructions you may have previously programmed into the unit. However, the on-screen menu will quickly get you through a new setup. And, if you write down your preferred settings BEFORE you reset your unit’s microprocessor, you’ll have an even easier job!
If in the event you do intialize microprocessor reset please refer to your owners manual for instructions on setup..
