Yellow tint Hello, My Sony has recently developed a yellow tint. Is it easy to replace the bulb? does that usually do the trick?

Go to Sony eSupport and check out the class action settlement for the optical block on your set. They will pay to fix it but better hurry because of the deadlines.

I had the same problem (although I have the 50 inch version of the TV). It wasn't the bulb. The optical block had to be replaced.

Yellow tint

The LCD green or blue inside the optical block is defective now. the optical block is the core of the tv (is the projector inside the unit "expensive"). make sure calling to Sony company and try to see in your particular serial # is covered under an extended warranty for this particular set. or at least ask them where you can get a good autorized workshop close to your area.

Yellow Tint on Screen

I would guess that the light engine is not aligned right with the chassis. You will probably have to get into the menus and reset the bulb timer setting to get rid of the replace bulb light. A common problem with these sets is a clogged lint screen causing the set to overheat and shut off after a period of time.
