My canon 7mp digital camera will not turn on. It is only two weeks old.

Use the free software called Picasa. It has an easy import function. Once you cable your camera to the computer, turn it on to the photo view mode. Or put your camera's memory card into the computer's card slot while Picasa is open and look for the 'import' tab.

HI there i think your lumix camera still in inbuilt memory mode. Make sure you set the default memory as memory card. After that check the setting for Photo pixel. For exam 4mp/7mp/10mp etc. Which is set as per your Canon camera. After that check out & i hope the problem will solve, Thanks & waiting for your feedback.

I have the same problem and I'm not sure why it does this. I think it has something to do with the connection inside the camera.

Either shutter jammed or CCD is gone bad.
Use warranty.

The usb cable is sufficient and the card will show up on your computer as a drive after the camera is connected and turned on. Steve

e sure the quality setting is the highest - 7 megapixels. Otherwise, why buy a 7MP if you shoot at 3MP. The Canon 750 seems to have excellent picture quality where the Olympus has soft focusing (reviews at C-net).

Sorry to day there are no parts or repairs for these cameras.

At this point, I installed rechargable batteries and camera appears to be working properly. I will be taking a lot of pictures the next couple of weeks, we'll see how it performs.
