I have a Compaq 2100 major problem

Select 'BIOS'.
Download the "instructions" on how to update the COMPAQ BIOS.

Sure, but you had better be sure it is clean DC of the right voltage.

your windows is surely corrupted.. install your windows again... if you dont know how to install your windows...contact me....at ([email protected])

please vote for me...im sure this will solve your problem...

there are two possible reasons:
1. your laptop's hard drive might have bad locations
2. one of your windows file might be corrupt

using windows xp installation cd try to repair your windows
be carefull not to reinstall. first try to repair and if it does not work then reinstall.
to repair i'll give to you some details:
on setup, after press F8 *(if you are agree with terms of licence) you will be asked what do you want to do.
and requre to press r to repair a previous windows installation, or to press esc key to instal a new and fresh windows.
press r

if u have critical files to recover, ask for help from someone who know very good what to do.

1. Remove the battery.

2. Check the power supply connector to make sure that the two prongs at the end are on either side of the pin, as you may not have enough power to fire the machine.
