What model number is this radio, what have you checked so far.

Can you verify that the red ignition wire has power when the key is on and does the yellow back up wire also have power even with the key off? The black wire must also be grounded very good, double check all of those first. Use a multimeter to check voltages, a test light does not tell you just how much voltage is there, sometimes they light up even if there is not enough power for the radio to work.

If you plan on working on this, do you have a multimeter and soldering iron and some solder and solder wick to remove solder with?

Did you just buy this new? or did you get it used? Are you sure it was working before you put it in the car?

Let me know about these questions and I will give you a few things to look for to determain if it can be fixed very easy or not. I have been repairing car audio systems for nearly 18 years and have seen just about everything in my time.

If the lights on your sub box aren't coming on it's either your ground of power wire came loose or the transformer blew. As for the subs, make sure all the connections are good, especially on your RCA wires. If your amp is getting power, then check your speaker connections. Also, make sure to turn the gain know up. The gain knob is located next to the RCA input on the amp. Let me know if this helps.

I have a deh1350 and when connected to a 94 corolla it simply won't turn on. I took it back and got a replacement one but the same thing is happening. Is there something wrong with the cd player or is it...

I know it sounds dumb, but make sure the key is forward. Ive dorked out and did this a few times. Some decks have a red AND yellow wire coming out deck wire harness. Sometimes you have to hook just the red for power, sometimes just yellow, sometimes both, maybe check that out. And it cant be the ground, cuz if you missed the wire, it would ground when you hooked up the antenna. Oh ya, sometimes when playing around with wires, you mess up and pop the radio fuse. Check that. Cold be blown

I hooked up a aftermarket cd player and now my remote to lock and unlock the doors doesnt work. i dont get any power to the car without the key being turned over in the ignition? i dont know what went...

That's a common thing with newer vehicles. The alarms, interior lights, and other things are integrated through the factory stereo system. Most of the time, you can buy a wiring harness that accommodates these things, but they are not $20 bucks like at Wal-Mart, and do get expensive. Sorry about the bad news, hope this helps. Good luck!

Cant get any power to the deck?

if 12v sourse and ground are connected check under hood for fuse block make sure all fuses are good also check cab of car and verify all fuses are good and check wiresconnected to player for fuse as well as the unit itself if still no power verifyall connections are tight. If this does not work your unit is bad you could try opening it and looking for visual damage i.e. button for power has a broken wire

Jvc car stereo 45wx4 kd sx991r ref the above how do I set bass treble and audio levels? As they are lost eveytime the keys are removed from the igition. Many thanks Paul Cook. email

My bet is that the reason you loose the setting every time the key is turned off is because you have no constant power going to your yellow wire. With the power on major brands of cd players there are 3 "power" wires. One is black which is ground, one is red which is the accessory power, this is only on when the car is on, and the last one is the yellow which is constant which stays on all the time so that your cd player can keep settings. Good luck. Let me know if you need more help.

I have two fusion amplifiers in my car. When i turn on my cd player one turn's on and another one not. What's a problem?

Make sure your power is properly connected and grounded on the amp that is not powering on.
The remote (blue) wire from each amp has to be connected to the remote wire or remote location on the deck itself.
You can also bridge the remotes from both amps to each other as long as the remote is connected from one of the amps to the remote location on the deck.
