The 6A00 is a Canon generic code for paper path jam.
Solution 1: Move the printhead carriage back and forth a few times.
Solution 2: Check the purge unit: Moving the print head assembly will not clear a purge unit if its jammed with paper, paper clips, push pins, screws, cookie crisp, flower bud pods or the like.

6A00 is not a jam error, it is an error of the purge assembly not cycling properly. Many times a paper scrap jammed in the capping assembly or the squeegee assembly caught on the filter assembly. Usually worn out gears and dried ink so that replacement of the purge assembly is the best fix.
6A00 is the error when the purge assembly is broken or jammed. You need a shop to install a new one since the entire print engine has to come out to replace it.
Error code 6A00 indicates purging operation error. Please observe purge unit first, it's located in right inside the printer. Is there broken paper disturb its function?. If there is no another material out there,means purge unit is faulty and you need to bring you printer to nearest service center.

The error seems to indicate a failed sheet feed, check the paper path to see for any stuck bits of paper, however I have heard that this can also be caused by a flaky sensor in the paper path.....
apparently the best way to deal with this is to turn it upside down and give it a shake.
