You need to find which is the right channel. It is usually AV2. However make sure you plugged in all the cables to right places. Also, call your cable company and ask them which channel might be, since this new HD tv are so different.

One more thing, If you have a VCR/DVD connected to the TV, you need to check the channel of the VCR/DVD

It is saying no video signal because it can not read the playstation. It is not connected properly or you have the wrong source. Try each source one at the time hit INPUT Try Hdm1, then hdm2, then av1, then AV2 and so on. Also, If you have calbe call the sustomer service and they might tell you which is the right source for that specific TV.

However, it should be the TV on channel03, and the component (hdm3) or AV3. They both should match 3,3.

Do you have a DVD player connected to the TV. If so, the playstation must be connected to the DVD player, the DVD player must be on channel 3.

    Thank you

Playstation 3 works fine useing the av hook up but won;t work with hdmi cable hook up.

First, make sure your TV is on the appropriate input for the plugged in HDMI cable. Once this is completed, turn your ps3 on. If the screen comes on and is black, turn the ps3 to standby (red light is on) and hold the front power button until the console beeps a second time. This will usually force the ps3 to recognize the hdmi input and will bring up the menu to configure the AV settings.

HDMI input says "mode not compatible"

If your Playstation is putting out the signal in 1080p then try changing it to 1080i and see if that works. Not all TVs are compatible with 1080p.

How do i get the TV to play satellite? it just says weak signal when I turn the tv on. JVC RM-C18G

It has to be on the right channel. If you are supposed to be on channel 3, 61, 73, 113 (ask the satellite company which one you should be on) then you'll have to change the channel. If you are not supposed to be on a channel you have to find out which input you're supposed to be on (video 1, video 2, video 3, av 1, av 2, av 3, hdmi 1, hdmi 2, input 1, input 2, input 3 for example).

Which generation playstation are you referring to The PS2 or PS3. The PS2 would be connected with a composite cable by default i.e red white and yellow cable. Connect the cable to the corresponding input on the TV, match color codes. Switch to correct input by using your remote controller. Press the AV button and a list of inputs come's up.Select av1 or av2 and check if you get a picture. If you use a ps3 then same as before press AV button on remote and select appropriate option on screen HDMI,Component or Composite.

How do i connect a playstation 3 to a philips tv

The PlayStation 3 (PS3) is a high-definition gaming console that supports both standard AV connections and high-resolution connections (such as HDMI). Most of the older Philips TVs come with a standard AV input. Newer, flat-panel Philips TVs include standard AV inputs and high-resolution inputs. To get the best video quality out of your PS3, using an HDMI connection is recommended if the option is available. The PS3 does not include an HDMI cable, only a standard AV cable

Standard AV
  • 1 Turn off the PS3.
  • 2 Connect the flat end of the PS3 AV cable into the "AV Multi Out" port on the back of the PS3.
  • 3 Connect the "red," "white" and "yellow" prongs on the opposite end of the PS3 AV cable into the corresponding "red," "white" and "yellow" AV inputs on the TV (usually located on the side or in the back).
  • 4 Press the "Source" button on the Philips TV remote.
  • 5 Select the "AV" video display mode.
  • 6 Turn on the PS3. The PS3 logo will appear on the screen.
  • HDMI Connection

    HDMI-No signal input

Turning the power off shouldn't have caused the problem.

Make sure the TV is set to the correct HDMI (1 or 2) by pressing AV on the remote and moving up and down the list.

Check the laptop is set to output through the HDMI socket.

Right click on the desktop -----> properties ----> settings

Actual options depend on your graphics card.
