Question about Pioneer AVIC-D1 Car Video Player
I recently bought a Vehicle with the Pioneer AVIC-D1 in it. The navigation was off so I was trying to get it to track me right. I went into the 3D Calabration and cleared everything...Now on the "Learning Status" ( I think that is what it is) is says Sensor Initalizing..It won't do anything now. Also, it says that the GPS Atenna is not connected but I had someone look at it and it is. Another thing, when I start the vehicle, a Warning comes up saying that the Navigation is Initalizing or the wire to the Parking Brake Lead is not connected. How can I tell if it is? It also says that we might need to reconfigure the system, how is this done? Thank you for all your help!
Send it back to Pioneer in Long Beach and they will fix it for $200 waht ever is wrong with it, The screen (ribbon) needs to be replaced as it is worn out.The Navi gyro might be bad do a full reset (small hol ein front) To see if the Navi can be reset. If you send it for service make sure you document every thing wrong with it and even send video as you drive there is no way they can check the actually function of the Navi as they only check for proper volatges and output readings.

It looks like some one tried to wire the D1 to bypass the mobile lock out feature. You groung out the parking brake line in a specific pin. If it is not grounded correctly the nav locks out and it cant be accessed. Look up online the wiring for the AVIC D1 Bypass mod. Double check the wiring that they explain with what you have. Sorry I cant be more specific on the sites its been 4 years since I bypassed the disable function. It's worked great with out any issues so far as the navigation is concerned. The back light fuse going out, now thats another storry.
