Any help will be appreciated. I'd gladly pay for the help if the problem can be solved.

Ginko's answer had already been tried and discarded before contacting you. I've tried new batteries and old batteries to no avail. I've tried cards that have a few pictures on, cards that are about full, cards that have been re-formatted in the camera, and cards that have been emptied by my computer, and I still get the same result; a message that says "File No. Full" when I move the switch to the ON position for taking photos.

This solution worked great. The "Camera Experts" at my local photo store had been totally clueless about this solution.

I was supposed to post Ginkos last comment, but aside from that or before you do that, go to the setup menu on the bottom of the menu, you get reset all select it then let the camera reboot. all the camera settings will be reset including frame number and shoot settings, if this did not work, manually renew the frame number.

Check that the memory card is not full, in case you will need to delete pictures.
Take off and put back batteries and memory card

First check that you have not exceeded the maximum space available in your memory card. If space is nearly to the limit you will need to download or delete files.
If you still have space try removing battery and memory card from camera and putting everything back, this should reset the camera.

Try this, this can fix it:

    1. Insert a formatted media into the camera.

    2. Set "RENEW" as the FRAME NO. setting in the SET-UP menu.

    3. Start taking pictures. (the frame numbers start from "100-0001".)

    4. Set "CONT." as the FRAME NO. setting in the SET-UP menu.

Getting message on screen of Read Error while trying to solve the "Memory full" message, any ideas?

Memory full, if it is true, you should backup some pictures and delete them from the card.
Read error, can indicate a corrupted file, dirty contacts on the memory card or a camera malfunction.
for 1 backup all photos and format the card. 2. Clean the contacts on the card and in the camera.
3. Contact a FUJI dealer.
Everything is in the manual (still online) on page 112

Screen not showing subject to be taken, camera wiil flash but no picture is taken, screen will show pics that are stored on card. Camera fugifilm finepix f700 Regards peter

Hi
Try taking the pictures off the card, by copying onto your computer first. Then put the card back into the camera and delete the pictures and try again. Not sure, but sounds like the card could be full. Or alternatively use another card that does not have any pictures on it, if you have a spare one.

Regards
