Bios version A02 password, how to get passed ?

Remove the Power Cord, remove the Case, turn computer onits side so you can see inside (you might need a flashlight). Remove theCMOS Battery which is a silver battery about the of a nickel that is onthe motherboard. You will need a flathead screw driver to pop it out. Leaveit out for an hour or two and then put it back and reboot the computer. When you reboot you will have to go into theBios or System Setup because the computer will have forgotten the date, timeand bios password.

Find pass key for our lap top for the family network.

Log into your router's web interface, if possible through a computer connected to the router by cable, by starting an internet browser and navigatng to its maintenance IP address, usually set by many manufacturers to 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1. An authentication request will come up. As you haven't speciffied your router model, there are routers whose both user name and password fields are set to 'admin'. Other routers use 'admin' as user name only, requiring the password field to be left empty. Once you get into the router's web interface, go to the wireless settings, and change the wireless passphrase to a new one of your choice. Make sure to change the other devices, which use to connect to the router, to the same new passphrase.
If you need further details, please, provide your router model and manufacturer.
Hope you are able to sort your problems out.
Regards, Carlos

Problem connectiong to DHCP server and acquiring a network address from router. using netgear router and linksys adapter. ICS

Hi There,

Your router, is it wireless?... anyway take a look at the security settings. I think that you have setup up your security setting with a wep key. If so than you need to enter a pass work into your computer to access the router for it to assign a IP address.

Let me know if you need more help.

Regards,

Philip

Can't remember security phrase for netopia 3347 nwg to add another computer

Are you talking about your wireless pass key, if nessesary connect a PC directly to your Netopia and reset the pass phrase through the routers control panel/gui, remember you will need to reset all pc conections to the new phrase. If you haven't made any IP changes to the netopia, the default settings are likely to be 192.168.1.254, just use your explorer to browse to this address

I am trying to set up my wireless system, however I no longer have the software, I am using my wireless router on another computer that was exactly the same as the one I had installed it on. I cannot...

You have to reset it to the original factory settings. Refer your owner's manual on how to reset. Usually there is a small pinhole switch which you need to keep pressed for about 5 seconds.

You will lose all settings and will have to configure your router again.
