You can certainly use the old battery in the new phone, but your contact list isn't store on the battery. The battery is just that - a battery. It does nothing but provide power to the phone.

If you need your contact list sent from the old phone to the new one then your best bet is to talk to your carrier's tech support in the nearest store.

I have a new phone, why didn't all my contacts saved?

You probably did not save your contacts to the SD card instead of the phone memory. If your old phone has no SD card then your contacts are a goner..

Phone has died and I need my phone contacts

The only option in this case is to have the phone repaired and retrieve the numbers by transferring it into your sim.

How do I register and how do i copy one phone book to the other handsets

THE EASIEST WAY IS TO SAVE ALL YOUR OLD CONTACTS AND INFOMATION TO YOUR SIMS CARD AND PUT THAT CARD IN YOUR NEW PHONE..(OLD PHONE)...GO TO CONTACTS...SELECT CONTACT SETTINGS...SAVE TO SIMS CARD, (NEW PHONE)...SELECT SAVE TO PHONE, OR JUST CONTINUE TO USE THE SAME (OLD) SIMS CARD!

AS TO REGISTERING...YOU WILL NEED TO GO-ONLINE...IF YOU DON'T HAVE INFO ON PHONE ON HOW TO REGISTER...THAN DO A WEB SEARCH... ENTER MANUFACTURER AND MODEL NUMBER, YOU'LL FIND THE SITE TO REGISTER YOUR PHONE.

HOPE TRHIS HELPS!

My phone got cracked in half, so when it comes to getting a new phone, can i save the contacts from my old phone to the new one?

Hello

OK, firstly you will need to understand that if your contacts were saved on your sim card, you can just put the sim card in the new hone, it should be there.

If the contacts were saved on the phone memory, you might be out of luck. This will mean that you will need to send you phone in so that your contacts can be recovered from your old phone. This is a pricey procedure though.

Hope this can steer you in the right direction. Let me know if you need any further assistance.

Kind regards
Andrea

My Nokia 6500 screen is broken and i need to copy contacts

Hi
It depends on where you have stored the contacts,if it is on your sim,you could remove your simcard and put it into another phone then you can get your contacts but if it is saved on the phone you would have to replace the screen of the phone before you could see your contacts.
All you need to do is to put off your phone, remove the battery and simcard then loose the phone with a phone screw driver, insert a plastic tool to seperate the screen from the motherboard, remove the old screen,be careful not to scratch or smudge the new screen. Then place the replacement screen back into the motherboard, then fix the front cover and couple back the phone.Enjoy your newly repaired screen.
BEST OF LUCK

I just recently changed phones using the same sims card i had in the old phone;and know when my saved contacts call the name doesn't show it just says no name w/ph#.

You have to make sure that all the contacts in your old phone was saved to your SIM card, and then you have to move the contact info from that sim card to your new phone.

Good Luck,

My old LG cell phone (LGCU400) broke and was replaced with a newer model (LGECU515). I put my old sim card in the new phone but I cannot retrieve any of my contacts/info from the sim card. Is there...

Hello!
I went to the AT&T/Cingular store and they tried hooking my broken phone to their system but could not retrieve any #s (they were saved to my phone not my SIM). They told me there was no other way to retrieve the #s and that a computer cable wouldn't work bc their system would've been able to retrieve them. I knew there had to be some way of retrieving them bc I could still turn my phone on- the top 1/2 (screen) had just broken off.
It finally dawned on me to look at my husband's phone (we had the same one), write down the buttons to press & the # of clicks per button on my old phone, in order to blindly go through my entire contacts list and save each one to my SIM card. Approximately every 25 contacts I saved I'd switch the SIM card to my new phone and make sure they were all saving correctly. I'm currently still transferring all 137 contacts- grueling but well worth it. This only works if your old phone will still turn on & function even if you can't see/use the screen.
***Make sure your phone's saving your contacts to your SIM and not your phone- I thought mine was and it was one rude awakening today when I found out otherwise! I hope this helps!
