Question about HP Photosmart R725 Digital Camera

1 Answer

HP727 Once again....I was on vaca and took about 60 pics. After taking a fabulous rainbow pic some words appeared on the screen. As I was on a Harley and in the sun I could not read what it said. The screen turned to colored stripes and then turned off. When I got to the hotel and went to check my pics THEY WERE ALL DELETED!!!! Is there any way they can be retrieved? As I am getting ready to go again I want a new camera so that this does not happen again. My camera has the extended warranty. How do I get one?

Yes I did try putting the memory in the computer no luck. I also checked the camera's memory and no luck. My battery was full so it must be internal. I lost a lot of great pics.

If you have an extended warranty most places can fix it and get you a new one.

Sounds like there was a power problem with the camera. Did you remove the memory card and put it into a computer to see if they were still there?

If you save the pictures to the memory card instead of the internal memory there easy to get if something goes wrong with the camera.

Even Walgreens can retrieve pics off the memory card.

What makes and models are your two cameras? What image settings are you using on the two cameras?
Without knowing the specifics, I'd say your Nikon is shooting larger pictures and saving them with less compression (better quality setting).

When i try to take a pic, the words "WRITE PROTECT" appears on my screen & wont let me take a pic, can you tell me why this is?

Try to format your SD card on your computer, you should be able to uncheck the write protect option, in the format menu.
Hoping for a Windows-based computer, Start > My Computer > under "devices with removable storage" right click on your SD card, choose format, options should appear.
Hope this helps...

When taking pics with my kodak c913 the lcd screen is black and you can not see what you are taing pic of. It all works. When taking a pic the flash will even work. when reviewing the pics it is still...

If you can check previous pics and menu settings there, isn't a problem with the LCD screenviewer; sound like a problem with the CCD Image Sensor problem.

Check the link and keep us updated.

My fuji finepix s5600 has stopped taking pics, just as i put new batteries into it,i can look at previous photos that i took, but it just wont take the pics, why?

Is it showing any message on screen as to why it won't take pictures or is it when you switch over from viewing to taking pics that it shuts off or just won't let you take pics?

Pictur

I have had a similar problem. Pictureres look like they are taken through a Venetial blind with white horizontal bands though I did get one with dark banding. It appears to have something to do with light levels. I took a few pics in a dark area with no flash and now it is working again...until it quits working again. Perhaps it is something to do with light level calibration? Whatever it is the problem is internal. If you are still under warranty, I highly recommend taking your camera in for repairs/replacement. Ours started acting up just after the warranty expired so no love for us.
