    I need a new print head where do I find one? I'm not impressed with only having this printer for 6 months and it won't print at all. There shouldn't be problems like this with a new printer and new cartridges.

Recently I posted a message for help and have figure out what was wrong myself. Here is the answer. . . the clicking noise was the printhead latch. It was not fully engaged when a jam was cleared. Seems just pull a smidge so the printhead can come across the carriage. That's it., but now I'm thinking it needs a printhead or two. Printing is sparadic.

Updating the firmware for your Lexmark Pro901 printer will help fix the problem. You will need to get rid of the error first before you can successfully update your printer. Follow the steps below:

1. Open the cover of the printer > remove the printhead. If the printhead will not go to the center, turn off the printer and pull the printhead to the center.

2. Once you have the printhead removed, close the cover of the printer and turn on the printer.

3. It will ask you to "Open Cover to Install the Printhead". Press the Home icon.

4. It should take you back to the Main menu.

5. Proceed with the firmware update, go to

6. Once the firmware update is successful, you may reinstall the printhead. Follow the steps on the printer screen.

Why does the printer ask for calibration every time I turn on the printer?

It seems, Printhead has come loose or has gone corrupt.
Try reseating the printhead, do calibration. It should help you out.

1. Take both ink cartridges out.
2.Take printhead out
3. Wait for 10 seconds.
4. Put the Printhead back in.
5. Wait for 5 seconds.
6. Put the cartridges back in.
7. Go to Maintenance (Printer Conrol Panel or ? Help on your Home /Center software) and clean printhead.

NOTE: If issue still persists, pls contact kodak for printhead replacement.

HP K5400: Y and B color are failing printing

Turn Off Your Printer Remove K&Y Printhead from your printer. Put the Printhead in the bowl in the same Position As in the Printer And Pour Little hot water in the bowl till the printhead is half dipped in the Water. Leave in for 15-20 Min. after that Clean the Printhead with clean clothes.. Must Ensure that no Water is in the Circuit of Printhead. leave the printhead for 30 min. After that put Back in the Printer. You will Get the Better result than ever BUT PLease Donnot use clean Printhead Utility immediately after this process use after the Day. If it Doesnot Work Then Clean the Printhead in Hot Water Several Times.. Do not Remove Printheads Regularly From Your Printer..

Canon S600 bubblejet priner won't print color

In all likelihood, the nozzles in the printhead are blocked. The printhead is the carrier that holds the tanks. Remove the printhead and remove the tanks from the printhead. Flush the printhead THOROUGHLY with hot running water. You can also **** on the color discharge area (square and the black discharge area (rectangular) on the bottom to draw warm watr through the nozzles to further clean them. Dry the prinhead thoroughly, reinsert your tanks and reinsert the printhead in the printer. I then do a "nozzle check" to refill the passages in the printhead and get things flowing agan.

No black print

I work for kodak with these printer's.
I provide tech support for them.
For this problem all i would recommend is doing the deep clean on the printhead twice, Doing it more then twice is a waste of ink and if it doesnt fix it the second time it won't.
Also replacing the black ink cartridge.
Also calibrating the printer has worked for me a few times.
I would not recommend cleaning the printhead manually, thats more of a chance to break it then fix it.
I would just recommend calling into the kodak tech support and getting a replacement printhead to fix that clogged nozzel problem.

Printer does not print after change of Printerhead

Put the original printhead back in and test. If the original printhead prints even with missing elements then the new printhead may be bad.

went printhead is replaced, all old ink should be cleaned out and replace with OEM ink only, Generic and refills help in damageing the printhead.
