Not necessarily. if your tv is under warranty, then you definitely don't want to do it yourself, or the warranty may be voided. There may be a panel on the back somewhere that should be fairly easy to remove to reach a fuse (if it has one) I would refer to the owners manual if you have it?

My sanyo ds19130 television has black lines and video errors.

Nothing to do with the smoking, the problem is in the vertical deflection unit - the power circuit has a loose contact. Open the tv and check all contacts (including the ones to the coils) and fix them.

Toshiba 62MX195 faded flashing screen

There are some parts in any television set that can be DIY, In your case, I would suggest to read in the light engine replacement and see if that is something you can do.

I have a blue red and green image. the image is smaller than the screen. is this something I can fix myself?

These are faults in the scan amplifiers. I have my doubts you can fix this yourself! You will require the proper training, and troubleshooting instruments to determine the fault. Then you will have to be able to change the parts, and re-calibrate the scan amplifiers.
In servicing these sets, there are serious safety issues. I don't recommend any non qualified person to go inside of their TV set!

Get a professional estimate first. I am sure you will find the cost will be expensive. There may also be an availability of parts issue depending on what has failed.

Panasonic projection tv

HI, The Pc Board that is located in your set, has become unstable. there are several IC's that control convergence and input streams as well. the damaged board should be replaced asap. it is possible for a service tech to be directed to your home but, most will require you to transport your set to the actual repair shop. i will list the part Number below.

Panasonic Part Number: TNPH0370ADS(PC BOARD) $347.95

I have picture by no sound. It's on video...DP42647 model We use dish network

I am going to assume this is a self install meaning you just got a new tv. If you have an HD receiver connected with red/blue/green wires ensure that you also use a set of red/white from the same TV output on receiver to the same audio input on the TV that you have the other wires ran to as the RED/BLUE/GREEN only carry a video signal. Some poor quality HDMI cables will also require the same red/white wires to gain audio as they do not always function properly. Other than that I can think of no other reason you should not be receiving audio other than internal speaker in tv being turned off. This usually is true when a surround sound is in use but the dish receiver was not integrated into the surround but the TV itself. I hope this is of some assistance to you. Thanks for using Fix Ya and if I can be of anymore assistance please let me know.
