I just downloded a winspyware protection kit that was only supposed to cost $29.99 when i got to the end it said i was being charged almost $100.00 im trying to get this charged back to my husbands credit card there is a 30 day money back but i dont know what to do to get the credit

The check engine light means there's a problem with one of your vehicles sensors. Take the car to have the computer scanned to find out which one isn't working properly. Some repair shops won't charge you to do this.

You can buy a recharge kit at your local parts store. The kit comes with a pressure gauge to let you know when the coolant level is good, over charged, or low. The kit cost about $25. With the kit hook up, it can't be hooked up wrong with the high and low pressure ends. You will be able to use this over and over, just buy new cans when you need to refill.
This could very well be the thermostat (pre-2000) or part of the temperature control system (2000 to 2009) which has three parts: The thermsitor (usually the culprit), the potentiometer (connected the the control dial) or the control board. Call the factory at 800-223-3900 with your serial number (to identify which control it uses) and you can buy the part direct from them. You may have a problem still related to the original reason it was reconditioned.
However, you should have a regulator that you set to the tank pressure you want to maintain. Most have a tool regulator as well and 40 psi sounds like that is what it is set for.
If you do have a tank pressure regulator and it is still not charging above 40 psi, then either take it back or pick up a new regulator for under $20 at Home Depot and replace the gauge you have now.
Also, sometimes the gauge will have a needle tilted so that one end presses against the glass, and if you tap the glass hard with your finger it will move on around to the correct pressure.
Finally, if you are not experienced with small compressors, look under your gauge and see if there is not a black knob that pulls out and pushes in to turn and change the pressure.
